I think I know why Casey Badger has been appointed to our match against the Warriors. Apparently the NRL have sent out a memo to all clubs that back chatting won't be tolerated and refs have been told to clamp down on it. Obviously any player to talks to a female official will likely be binned and portrayed as a misogynist. The NRL probably reckon our guys are more likely to argue with a ref and, since it'll be a female, she'll have a green light to send them from the field.
1985: 1 try vs Parramatta, 1 try vs Manly, 1 try vs Wests, 2 tries vs Souffs
1986: 2 tries vs Illawarra, 1 try vs Balmain, 2 tries vs Norths.

We saw at least 2 perfect examples of the Bunker stuffing up again this afternoon.

We’ve seen bunker stuff ups all year for all teams. The Grant sin bin last night was a howler.

Worst call of all time? From the angle I saw, it seemed like it wasn't even a penalty. I couldn't believe it.

I can't stand Grant, but geez that has to be one of the softest binning ever.

                  From the ROAR today:

                  Part of it.

Joseph Sua’ali’i was one of a handful of players sin-binned during Magic Round.
When Annesley finally moved on, stating, “Then if we move more into the football side of it”, the NRL statisticians had him well armed.

The former Titans CEO spent a few moments desperately attempting to convince us all that the average 8.6 margin of defeat across Magic Round, the lowest ever recorded, was a sign of the strength of the competition, in conjunction with the frequency that the lead changed hands, using additional graphs to support his thesis.

Sadly, his commentary around sin-bins was less compelling.

Taniela Paseka, Joseph Suaalii and Isaah Yeo spent time on the pine for their respective teams. Annesley seems chuffed that the referees had applied the rules effectively, with all three well offside and retreating in defence before making an illegal tackle.

However, when the case of Brisbane’s Josiah Karapani was considered, a player who had done precisely what the three above had, Annesley seemed somehow content that he escaped sanction.

“Generally, the player will end up in the sin bin”, he said.

I’m not sure we want “generally” Graham, I think we want it each and every single time.

In a match where the Broncos prevailed by a point, a simple argument could be made that a sin bin for Karapani could well have been the determining factor.

                  Bronco bias?

So true. A sin binning is proving a vital turning point in many matches. Look at the Grant binning the week before .

We need to start a fraud watch on the bunker I'm struggling to keep up. Bad calls happen on the run but when you've got access to 15 HD cameras with ultra slow-mo play back you've got to do better.

ROUND 4 - Chris Butler incorrectly penalises JWH for obstruction, try removed from Roosters.

ROUND 5 - Todd Smith incorrectly sends Victor Radley to the sin bin for a phantom hip drop.

ROUND 6 - Chris Butler Incorrectly deems force in high tackle that left Lindsay Collins bleeding from the mouth as only "slight contact"

                      What else am I missing?
That’s what we have to wake up to. We are playing vs team vs ref vs bunker vs judiciary vs NRL targeting. Add to this our poor discipline and we are the real champs except not on the ladder no matter how good we are.

                        Of course not.

Never mind the fact we would have led them 22-0 at Suncorp if our match was refereed properly.

Instead their mistakes made it 18-12 (and the Bronx soon levelled from a great try after getting momentum they shouldn’t have).

When we beat the Broncos in the prelim in 2002, I'm pretty sure they didn't get a penalty all game.
