Have you ever watched a game of rugby league before?

SKD was 40m away on the right side of the field. Where he plays as a right centre. Unbelievable.

He rarely resorts to blaming refs so when he does its probably justified, last night it certainly was justified. With competent refereeing and better goal kicking we would have won that easily. Super frustrating game to watch particularly if you backed us at the $3.25 as I did.
Under the rules there shouldn't be a fine but you can bet your bottom dollar there will be.

The problem with your theory is that Shaun Kenny Dowall plays on the right and has done for a number of years. Where has blaming SKD for Anasta's faults in the left defence come to you from?

For those who forgive referees for making mistakes please do not include the Video Ref.

This guy has many replays to view and to use benefit of the doubt in a really close call. If it is still in doubt he can use the ref's call.

I admit i am half way through a nice piece of humble pie regarding Minichiello at the moment. But surely you cannot tell me that his form in the first 5 weeks was anywhere near that of the last 5 weeks. Had he continued to struggle with kick returns and choking up the backline i would still be of the same opinion that there is better options. Very happy to be wrong so far about this one. He is still the slowest fullback in the comp and the worst one on one tackler but he's more than made up for that in recent weeks. Shame about his play the ball, no courageous player deserves to be disadvantaged when they are concussed.

During the Knights v Cows game, after the video ref got another obvious decision wrong it was pointed out that the video ref does not have access to high definition monitors. This is now being carted out as an excuse for their incompetence.

Even if these fools had blue ray vision they would still get the amount of calls as correct as Stevie Wonder...

Every game there is mistakes made by the refs, thats because they are human. No one go's to work & is perfect.

I just wish supporters would come to the understanding that their will always be refereeing mistakes, it's part of the game. You get some decisions that go your way & then you get decisions that go against you.
True Patch but its where, when and how these mistakes are made that cost us. We do need to be better so as not to let these type of things cost us a game tho. In other words, we need to be out of 'shafting range'.

Not even our teams of 2004 or 2010 were good enough for that...

Except for a tiny period during the period 2002 - 2004 when the refs thought we were a good side (& we were), I believe we have been roundly shafted by the refs more often than not. I vaguely remember a grand final qualifier in the late 90s against Manly when in the dying seconds we had a chance to score & a Manly player pushed our bloke in the back when he was about to ground the ball - should have been a penalty try, but nooooo.....Manly go through with a field goal.

I can cop it when we get beaten fair & square. What I can't believe is that every team we come up against is all of a sudden perfect yet we get penalised into oblivion. I'm not saying were disciplined side, were not that great in that area - but bugger me neither are the other sides.

The one that tipped me over the edge the other night was the play the ball onto Mose's foot. They scored straight after that - it's all very well and good to say we have to learn how to defend on the back of that & we do, but you can't always do it & bloody hell, you shouldn't have to.

In saying all of that, we lost the match and momemtum when Pearce inexplicably tried the miracle play on tackle zero when were up. We could have gone a long way to winning the game in that set of 6.

Think you're referring to the first semi of 1996 when Manly were leading us 16-14 and Rigon made a break, the ball was passed in field and eventually toed into the in goal with Rigon and Danny Moore jostling for the ball, Moore clearly pulled him back and prevented him from getting to the ball. Manly very nearly stuffed things up in the in goal and from memory Lam tried to claim a try but it was ruled that the ball had been forced by Manly and a line drop out followed. There was no video ref back then (just an in goal touch judge) and referee Paul McBlane decided to ignore the interference and just go with the line drop. It should have at the least been a penalty, 10m out right in front with Moore sent to the bin. We would have levelled the game and who knows what would have happened with Manly down to 12 men.....wouldn't have mattered anyway....Freddie was playing on one leg with a severe groin injury and we wouldn't have gone much further but was still very frustrating at the time.

Add to the fact that Captain Obvious is continually antagonizing the refs. He really was on thin ice the other night & is just plain dumb to keep going on with it. Right or wrong, make your point respectfully & get on with it. All he is doing is getting our team off side with the pink boys & keeping us there.
