You can tell by some of the prior comments that the Greens are radical. The media and the Establishment have achieved that. MR has drunk the Cool Aid as has 08 and Jaxie and millions of others of course. For the average guy, what's not to like about the manifesto but there's now a well conditioned aversion response from years of swallowing msm derision.

Would you give up your investment property (if I remember correctly you have one? Apologies if I’m wrong) for the social cause? I have an average home in an average suburb and I’m proud of it and the fact I bought it as a single woman on a single income decades ago. If that makes me a greedy capitalist then I’ll wear that title.
You comments (and Randy's) re The Greens indicate reluctance, even rejection, probably because the media lies compliment your financial interests and that is the reason for most of the ejection.

I don't suggest anything other than you and Randy (forget those others, they're beyond redemption) are examples of those who are essentially thinking people but who have succumed to media anti Green bias. No need to sweat it, it has been so intense for so long that it is almost a conventional wisdom. It's called The Illusory Truth Effect - if a lie is repeated often enough, it will become accepted as fact.

Okay Caz but the majors, because they are so leery of the RW media, just tinker with climate change action while we, the sheeple, agonise about the futures of our progeny. The ALP does just enough to make the claim that it is doing something and the LNP represents the polluters so nothing meaningful will ever happen on their watch, Nuclear is a do nothing stalling tactic.
The Greens, on the other hand are fair dinkum about the issue and seek to act urgently and meaningfully on it. Rudd's action plan was too little and, for those concerned about lack of real progress, the Greens acted appropriately. They are a rival political party, why should they compromise their integrity?
The Libs embrace and, indeed, represent the greed of Corporate business. Some are in total denial, arguing either that CC is arrant bullshit or a fabrication of the Left aimed at destroying capitalism (see MR's, 08's and Jax's posts). I'm amazed that ordinary battlers sympathise with the deniers and do their bidding by rejecting organisations like the Greens who are "us" really, there is nothing in it our present CC policy for the future of working people
to be fair rudd could have handled it better - rather than playing politics he should have welcomed turnbull's co-operation. then labor wouldn't have needed the greens once abbott replaced turnbull

If you actually believe the myth of human induced climate change, Australia's contribution is absolutely diddly squat anyway. Voting for any of the left wing parties (teals included) will only destroy our economy. It is looking very likely that the greens will hold the balance of power and that will be the end of our way of life as we know it.
They will eradicate Australia day, and Anzac day among others. Think about it.

Australia Day will eventually get moved to another date which is not a big deal , yes I know it is to you but in the real big big picture its nothing.
If history is correct which says that the Aboriginal were living here 40,000 years before white man took over & the Indigenous people have a problem with it being the 26th Of Jan then just change the date.
Look man I here the other side of the argument all my life Ive heard people talk in the ol school way about the Aboriginals who they refer to as Abo's. Ive also used that terminology growing up but at the end of the day the Indiginous Aboriginals of Australia have a voice & in my opinion should be respected.
This is way out there I know but I would like to see a female Aboriginal become Prime Minister.

Changing the date will do nothing to appease the perpetually outraged/offended. They would keep going until you have to hand over all your property to the stone age mob.
