Not so sure. Aubo is always favoured by Robbo and fair enough. Angus would be a nice man to bring off the bench too. Great impact. Glad it’s Robbo’s call.

But how often is everyone available? Has happened a handful of times the past two years so Sam will still get loads of games.
I think Sam is in the 17 for sure. Our backrowers can all play 80 if required. Sam keeps his spot.

Verrills is a must on the bench. Collins had his best game for us. Butcher gets better every game he plays.
Robbo needs to decide what the plan is in regards to Verrills I believe he is either in the squad to spell Jake or he isn’t his bench spot is being wasted if Robbo throws him on for 10 minutes at the end of a game I would love for Verrills to either start play the first 20-25 minutes then Jake comes on and goes the rest of the way or Verrills comes on about the 25-30 min mark and played the mid portion 20-25 mins either side of halftime. The only reason he came on early was because Jake copped a knock.

Lindsay has to be in the squad over Verrills he absolutely bends the line every time he runs and his positioning in defence and defence in general has improved greatly how does he defend when fatigued well still pretty good.

It’s a headache at the selection table, a good one though.

My apologies disagree I believe Collins to be in the 17 ahead of Sam.

Trent will pick a team acording to who we play. Us v drongos we will go heavy. Or us v wests we go lighter.
            you know what i mean.

You talk about good play makers being 2 or 3 sets ahead of play, we have a coach 10 rounds ahead of other teams with his timing of form and fitness. Classic example was what he did with Angus last year , the patience and persistence paid dividends but we had to wait till the finals. Now we get a full season to watch Angus at his best. It was worth the wait. Same thing happened with manu, and I'm expecting nothing different from Flanagan. We have a once in a generation coach, and I can smell a 3peat.

Either way it’s a great position to be in.

He was tremendous at the back half of 2019 but it now feels like he's ready to own that right edge position, having been fully delouced from his Souffs days.

Robbo has him playing a far more direct brand of footy. Gone are the half dozen crab runs that he'd make for the Scabs and instead he's playing a much more direct, hard running role.

Between Cords, Gus and Aubo we have 3 of the best hole running backrowers in the game. Surely no coincidence with the coaching.
Not really ...If you remember last year from the halfway mark and onwards he was one of our best week in week out ..right edge may be his thing but it was up the middle last year where he created damage and tight in on the fringes.

As for Verills thought he was lost and terrible ...didnt work into the game and the quicker Jake came on the better for Easts ....He needs to start now and again or his interest will be lost .

Radley might successfully challenge the suspension but maybe take the punishment. He had a great game but a lot of hard hits so keep him safe for the dogs game. Robbo might have to implement the rotation policy already.

Only if players are prepared to be patient.

Think if young Sam looks at a few others that have taken the easier more profitable option and left . Pearce , Latrine ect , he will come to realize patience is the key

The speed of the game will take a toll on our forwards. Also there is no metro cup to keep our reserves in match condition. IMO the obvious solution is to rotate our forwards until the finals. Maybe not all of them rotated, our key forwards will play whilst fit, and perhaps freshened up before the finals.

Souths game was almost a must win game for us. As we creep up the ladder I would expect to see Verrills have more game time.

For sure re the rotations with no reserve grade comp. No coach would want to bring a guy into the finals who hasnt played for couple of months.

We have a couple of not so tough games coming up in that we play Bulldogs and Dragons in rounds 5and7perhaps Robbo can rest guys in those games, I’m not underestimating any opposition because as we have seen in the past Easts have had their pants pulled down on more then one occasion Broncos, Knights and Panthers last season maybe Verrills gets the run in those two matches. In round 6 we play the Slime then have our toughest stretch of Storm Cowboys Canberra rounds 8-11 they will be bruising encounters and will need all hands on deck.
