Good work ethic, does the hard stuff, not quite big enough to dominate the defence, but handy player, we already have on of those - Arona, and he'd be on a lot less cash then Tolman.
Kennedy, Tasi and JWH will do the hard stuff for us this year, and Cordner is as tough as dogs nuts, so our pack won't lack grit or go forward in 2012, which is another classic Smith coaching trait.

David Stagg makes plenty of tackles at high efficiency too, its easy these days, just flop on a guy third man in. I guess we want different things from our front rowers, but thats what makes the world go around. Would be pretty boring if we all had the same opinion.

I didn't say they were, but their style of play, or the way that the coach used them is 2011 was similar, ie doing the hard work in and behind the ruck.
I saw a few dogs games early in 2011, and Tolman was one of their best, one of the few that always had a go, and he was always playing tight, in the same manner that Smith used Arona in 2011, irrespective of Arona's, or Tolman's natural style of play.
