The last thing we need this year is for the team to be split.
I personally prefer an outright captain and vice-captain, but can also understand why Robbo would choose this path to ensure our season is not derailed before a ball is kicked, just like last year!
You make a good point JAF if this was politics but as we all know of those who grew up playing team sports, the coach appoints the captain and the rest have to accept that. If players don't respect Cordner, then they should not be in this team. I doubt anyone in the team doesn't respect Boyd or that there are any factions...i could be wrong though.

Hard call for Robbo, Cordner will make a great Captain but Jake is respected by the team. Personally i prefer Pearce to be Captain with Cordner, I saw a lot of improvement in him last season and reckon he will absolutely kill it this year.

Like many here, I'm not a fan of the co-captain caper and it made me laugh when the vermin named half their team as co-captain a few seasons ago. I'd prefer JWH as captain but I wonder if he isn't viewed by the higher ups in the Roosters as being too risky a choice because of preconceived notions held by game managers.

Congratulations to Boyd all the same, and I hope that now Jackson Hastings is gone, Jake Friend can put aside his apparent petulance.
