Pretty much my feelings on this person have been covered. All Fergo did was get drunk and copied a certain President-elect, this Fotze bashed a woman four times.

If he agrees to having the shit kicked out of him by a gang of bikies until he's unconscious four times the maybe I will think about not telling the club to go screw itself next year.
    SUPER DRAGON!

I agree 100% with your post!
The worst thing when people say they deserve a second chance, is that the victims do not get a second chance, and the ones that do, live on with scars for the rest of their lives, I'm lucky to not have anybody close to me affected by any of these crimes, but gee it makes me angry hearing about it.

I would have no problem with a slow torturous death to them.
the coward punch is usually done by a drunken mid 20s chest thumping he man trying to prove himself as better than those around him. the terrorist is a brain washed twerp who thinks his pre concieved actions will change the world. The kiddie fiddler usually had been a victim of a kiddie fiddler.
all i am saying is some of the mentioned acts are controlled and planned while others are a brain explosion. I have a nut case sister who losers her $hit (caries on like the warner brothers Tassie Devil) If she gets on the piss and something cracks inside, she is an antaganistic, aggressive and uncontrollable bitch. WE dont know Zanes story nor do we know the severity of his offences but hitting a women or child is weak. She could have been a piss head who gets aggressive and attacks him , he defends himself and she gets hurt. fark who knows.
i dont condone his action nor do i discriminate against peoples past.

Tough crowd this one. So most of you dont believe that he has the right to work and earn a living for him and his family. He happens to play NRL and we have offered him a contract to earn a living, in my books it means nothing more.

I think this is why people are getting upset:

His barrister, Julieanne Levick, said Tetevano was now working 60 hours a week and had no intentions of returning to the ‘‘limelight’’ of professional rugby league.

‘‘He has no desire to return to the toxic environment that the NRL invites.’’

That is because you are a gentleman who thinks the safety of a human life is more important than a football match. Just remember Milanja, not all of the men on this forum have wives, girlfriends or sisters so they don't truly understand what this man was and maybe still is capable of. It does stay with you forever and can impact a life in a way no one else can understand unless you have personally lived through it. Issuing a genuine apology seems to be a lost art and makes it impossible for the other party to obtain closure.

I hope none on here, either male nor female, know what it feels like to be attacked, not once but 4 times, by the same individual. It's Christmas time, so count your blessings and stay safe over the holiday season everybody.

Again, football is not a normal job. There are many jobs where Zane wouldn't get another chance. Working with children and many government positions for example. Nrl clubs are million dollar brands and every athlete is an ambassador for that brand. If I ran a million dollar business where any indiscretion from an employee would make the nightly news and cost me millions in sponsorships I would not be taking a chance on someone who has consistent form of criminal behaviour. It's purely a business decision. Other than that I don't think he really has the talent to be worth the risk.

I hear the last time he was up before the court, the magistrate said to him "Mr Tetevano, why do you keep beating your girlfriend?" To which he replied 'I put it down to my reach advantage and my superior footwork'.......

                    I'll get me coat.

As a victim I'll reinforce my opinions...

I was homeless for more than 12 months due to DV. My entire bank account was drained (she withdrew it all including inheritance money that I'd saved from the age of 6), I literally live with scars on my face, I suffered from PTSD (not just an 'army soldiers thing) and my career + confidence took a hit.

Not saying it's easy but I rebuilt my life and my honest opinion is that what happened doesn't give me the right to be a life-long bitter f*ck who blames his ex for every single loss of opportunity.

I saw a paychologist, went back to uni, got my law degree, worked full-time and dragged my life back together (I'm now successfully re-married, own 2 houses and am reasonably stable/successful). Wasn't fun but IMO we all experience bad things in life.

Mini's career nearly ended due to a horrible tackle. You can choose to keep hating that person your whole life or do the rehab, take responsibility for getting your own life on track and pave a way forward.

I'm not saying victims have no right to blame people who hurt them. But... why spend my whole life hating my ex and saying 'I'm effed up because of her'. No... I'm successful because I refuse to let what happened some years ago define me.

I don't keep in touch with her or have any idea what she's doing now but IMO it's not wrong of me to wish her a good life. She was effed up and made a lot of bad mistakes. She lost her marriage, her career (as a teacher) and her friends (who all got behind her and hated on me until she was convicted - then they bailed on both of us). She has a criminal conviction that will stay around as a reminder of what she's not allowed to do. For society's sake I hope she's found her feet and moved on from the person she was, I hold no grudges despite my scars...

If I saw her on TV doing something good and getting paid for it, I would not have a negative reaction to it. I'd be happy to see that the justice system has been able to reform somebody. And you know sadly... I don't think I'll see that. My understanding is that she went back to her birth country, lives in her parents' spare room, doesn't work, doesn't have friends and blames me for all this because after years of abuse I let the cops take photos of my injuries while I lay in hospital (the morning after an attempt murder). My wish is that she'll one day take ownership of what she did and do something useful for society to redeem herself.

I think things are getting a bit off track. In my opinion, as supporters of Easts, what we are asking is do we want to see a person of this character at the club? If he has reformed himself and is making something of his life then good luck to him. However, do we want the guy at Easts? Do we plan to cheer this guy on? Nope, not me. I love Easts and I love watching Easts win but not if it means watching this punk. I think most of us feel something similar. Its not like he is even a gun player.

I have heard his back issues were not related at all to do with football. As bad as that tackle by MacDougall looked, that isn't how he hurt his back.

I'm tipping Zane to have a big year.Like him or loath him hes a talented player and he knows its his last chance so he will be having a red hot go.Same with Knight although the kid hasn't got Zanes bad history.Time will tell though on paper we have a really good pack for next year.
