In all fairness, I think we just remember the times he gets pushed back and don't given enough credit for all the times he gets 10+ meters on a return. The biggest issue Toups has on the returns is his center of gravity. Given his height, as soon as two defenders make the tackle on him and one lifts only marginally, he gets pushed back. The alternative is for him to lower his body position when going into tackles but that's easier said than done when you are his height and aiming to make a return at good speed. If he goes to ground, he's just volunteered a tackle and we'd be up him for that but if he goes in as hard as he can and breaks the first tackle, then aims to push through and go to ground, he's done a good job.
