  • Toups

Players often play their best footy when they are trying to secure a contract.

But Toups has been the other way around.

He has hardly been a fan favourite for a long time.

But his form since he signed the new contract has been amazing.

I would go so far as to say his game yesterday was the second best he has ever produced. We all know his best.

And this is even with him not being able to get a clear chase on a kick anymore.

Well done Toups. Keep it coming.

No other winger breaks one on one tackles as easy as he does. It doesn't seem to matter who is tackling him either. I love the way we've started to shift the ball on a kick return. That showed great confidence and also shows how hard our back 3 work to be there for the play every time. The job of our forwards becomes a hell of a lot easier when the first tackle has come after a half break or even just when Tupou or Sheck find there front which they do every run now.

Or... It could be that The stresses of getting a new contract were hindering his concentration on the game. He seems to be a quiet person who needs to know that they have confidence in him and a new contract was the right tonic.

Toops is a beast, knew he'd come good.

When SKD and Moa come back we'll be ripping the comp apart.

He actually managed to smile and have a laugh with the boys after scoring...excellent to see.

I agree with this. He was probably struggling to find another club interested based on his poor form earlier in the season. He seems much more relaxed now. But I also think his form has improved as Jenkos form has improved.

I have never seen someone so upset when he scores.

                Toops had a great game.

He and Jenko were playing like plebs early on in the season and now their channel is like a fountain of youth that's buzzing with energy.

Does anyone else think that Rog should have a wee spell?

Daniel "Toops" Tupou mentioned at an Eastern Suburbs function that it was playing on his mind. We have seen other players from our previous teams play well during these situations and Daniel has not. The modern era is more about mental preparation than talent.

Can you elaborate on that JT?

He has done a tonne on work this year!

Those 2 uncharacteristic errors are signs of fatigue imo.

The Eels would be a good opportunity to rest the kid.

And besides, giving players a spell is all the rage atm.

Robbo said in the press conference that he won't rest anyone else.

                          I heard that.

Can't say i agree with Robbo on this one.

RTS hasn't really stopped since pre season 2013.

Compare his work load with that of the boys being rested.

He can rest the rest of his career when he bludges with the rest of the Warriors players. Warriors players tend to rest a lot.

It took a shoulder charge to finally get a smile out of the bloke on the field.
                              He loved the Evans hit!
