I am basing that on 180 odd first grade games for Pearce, that catch and pass would not have hit Maubs if Pearce was throwing it, more than likely a kick in panic.

I get that mate but that's only one half of the equation in regards to a comparison. The other half has played 1 full FG game. I'm not putting Hastings down. I think he did well. But the jury is still out for me and surely you need a decent number of games from him to make a judgement.

By the way, I have seen junior make plenty of line breaks. He actually has a great step and is very quick.

Don't get me wrong, I like Jr and recognise what he has done and still does for us. He does struggle to break the line though. BTW, it is wrong to say we won last night because of the dropped FG attempt in goal. It's true that led to us winning the way we did, but that Fergo try did not just happen automatically - it came down to a clutch play under pressure by Maloney. We just don't see that kind of performance under pressure from Jr, at least not this year. That try by Maloney? Individual brilliance under pressure. We don't see those line breaks and tries from Jr.

If it wasn't for Jr being so much younger, the sensible club move would be to release Jr and keep Maloney and SoH as halves.

I'm not saying that it was a lucky win.We worked hard and were rewarded however there was a small element of luck involved. A 10 year old could catch that ball or move aside and let it go dead.

Our best all round performance this year was against the Storm.We had total control of that game and Pearce played a major part.

BIngo what worked last season is not working this season, that face ball to Cordner and Guerra worked a treat for almost 2 seasons, teams are now ready and gang tackle the guys. The bombs to Toops worled for 1 season now sides run him off the ball so he cant get near it. I liked the fact Pearce ran more last season, it worked, this season it has not. This year we have been unable to change things up, we still Bomb to nobody, throw passes to heavily marked players and run when we should pass. If the players are coached to do this, it is simply poor coaching or poor execution, if they are not coached to do this it is simply lack of composure or an ability to play things as you see it.

Either way we do not have a plan B

Much like the Vermin, they only play one way, when that form of play is disrupted they crumble and fold like friday night.

It's ok to play a certain style of footy with no plan B as long as the net result is what you set out to achieve.

I still think we were the best team last season.Having a plan B, C and D wouldn't have made any difference as the NRL and Channel 9 chose to push the Vermins brand all the way to the end.

Considering Friend out for 5 games, Ferguson out for 8 games, JWH out for 2 games, Guerra out for 3 games, (not including Origin)Kennedy and Meehan stood down, where tracking okay.

He has plenty of ability - he is the NSW half after all. But I am coming out of the closet as someone who has lost patience with him. His short kicking game is just abysmal and he is not a game winner in a tight contest. Maloney is, and he has proven that many times. Jr peaked at the end of 2014 - he looked like the potential was finally being fulfilled. That was 2014. This year he plays well as part of a team that is winning, but a game changer he is not. Not ever.

Tell me again why we are getting rid of Maloney and Pearce's place is never called into question?

They won that through sheers guts in the first half and SST and other forwards power running in the 2nd, i do not think Robbo would have coached them to play that way, the thing is the players who came in and moved into positions were forced by origin, not a decision to change things up. Lets face it in attack we were terrible for 40 mins, defence won the match

You blame the coach in defeat but can not be a man of your convictions and praise the coach in victory instead you are supplying excuses for the victory. This is a disappointing outlook that many of our fans have.

Just to prove how useless those stats are though, did you know our record without SBW in 2013 was better than it was with him?

Given the circumstances that surround every game I personally think they're useless stats
