It was these sort of conditions just after some heavy rainfall and there would be just a bit of colour in the harbour that i would wander down to Kirribilli with blood worms or prawns and catch some nice bream, of course that was back in the 80 s though.

Yeah all the storm water run off points were great fishing spots back in the 80's.

We'd target Luderick down at Rosebay. The Woollahra Golf Course drain would look like a mountain river rapid.

Lurline Bay was another great fishing spot during heavy rain periods. I once spotted a dead cat being flushed out of the storm water pipe at North Bondi. I pretty much duck dived a wave, came up and there was this poor dead cat that was caught out in the drains during a storm.

The harbour was the most amazing place to fish back in the 80 s, so many great and memorable and unexpected catches back then, i was amazed of the quality of fishing and catches back then.

        • Light drizzle and humid conditions on the south coast. Managed a swim in the lake on the incoming tide which was nice.

          • A beautiful southerly blew in a few hours ago but I’ve looked at the long term forecast and it’s not pretty. A prediction of 43 next Wednesday here!! I actually cannot believe that.
