Horrie, I only just saw your two messages about this as I haven’t popped in for a few days. That’s terrible. I wasn’t even aware there was a bushfire there either. I hope they are safe.

Thanks MR, luckily the house wasn't being lived in, it was being cleaned up after my ex brother in laws death just gone. Everyone is ok but there is a real mess to sort out now as the insurance had lapsed either though my ex brother in law had promised my sister that every thing was up to scratch financially after he had his first stroke about a year ago. Not sure what happens now, my sister has been at Services Australia for most of the day trying to work out what is available for her daughter now going forward.

And now for the weather, what a stinker in Sydney, very warm and very humid, had to see a specialist today on the 14th floor at St Vincents and generally there is a great view of the CBD, harbour and North Sydney but was just so smoky and hazy, air quality looked like Los Angeles

Another hot day today. It’s going to be a long dry summer. We already have a few shrubs in distress from the heat and lack of rain.

We just had some much needed rain on the south coast. It's been drier than a nuns wine cellar.

That’s excellent news. One less thing for your sister and niece to worry about.

A very mild, cloudy day today. It keeps threatening to rain but of course it doesn’t. Everything is so dry in Canberra - except for the perfectly watered and manicured lawns. Our backyard is full of dirt, weed and brown ‘grass’.

Scorcher of a day here today It was great to do yoga at lunchtime though Last class for the year do in spite of the heat couldn’t miss it Storm looks possible as I look out of the window whilst lounging on couch watching the cricket

And here I am complaining about 39! How does it get to 43 in inner Sydney? That’s crazy. According to the radar there’s rain and storms to the north and south of us at the moment, but they seem determined to miss the ACT. Hopefully we’ll get something.

And now we have drizzle and a blackout! It’s getting very dark in the house now. I see we’re only one of two suburbs with no power.

Finally getting some rain today. Only light showers at the moment. It would be nice to get some nice soaking rain.

Very muggy on the coast. Holiday makers slowly filtering in.

I can't believe how fast E- Bikes are these days. Kids flying around, no helmets and our roads are full of potholes. Plus people tend to drink drive down here as we rarely see a police car patrolling the area. Recipe for disaster!

We are on the same street as the Bondi Beach police station but that hadn't stopped children from flying up and down doing wheelies on e-bikes as recently as a few weeks back because we are a one way street.

There was a shocking accident at Rose Bay a couple of Mondays ago involving minors causing it and they were taken to Surry Hills Police station despite the Rose Bay station being just a few blocks down. They were charged and will appear in Childrens' Court.

The heat makes us all cranky along with everything else.

Finally getting some rain today. Only light showers at the moment. It would be nice to get some nice soaking rain.

Just had 5 mins of rain when heading down to the shops, had been so hot and muggy before it and its back to being hot and muggy again.
