Have you checked out the delivery bike riders on their e bikes breaking every road rule in the book, you cannot avoid them here in Sydney on the roads and footpaths. I often wait for a bus up the North end of King St Newtown and it's right near the El Janah chicken shop, the delivery drivers virtually run you over on the foot path while you are waiting for the bus and often will illegally park in the bus zone and it is one of the busiest bus stops with 7 different bus routes stopping there and you often get 3 buses at a time at the stop, i have seen frustrated bus drivers almost coming to blows with the rude arrogant bike drivers.

We finally got some decent rain this evening. Started with a minor bit of thunder which turned out to be nothing and then about half an hour later a new front came through. It’s still raining lightly now. It’s been great to not have the aircon n at all today.Originally posted by horrie hastings View Post
Just had 5 mins of rain when heading down to the shops, had been so hot and muggy before it and it’s back to being hot and muggy again.

The air con has been on non stop here and it really is struggling, it is due for a service but we aren't getting it done till the new balconies are done as the the air conditioning unit has to be removed off the balcony while work is done. Supposed to be hot and muggy here till a change on Christmas Eve. Got a bit more rain here last night but still not much and no where near as mucg as the got at Bondi Beach during the ceremony last night.Originally posted by mightyrooster View Post

Welcome backOriginally posted by Duchess_of_Bondi View PostWe are on the same street as the Bondi Beach police station but that hadn't stopped children from flying up and down doing wheelies on e-bikes as recently as a few weeks back because we are a one way street.
There was a shocking accident at Rose Bay a couple of Mondays ago involving minors causing it and they were taken to Surry Hills Police station despite the Rose Bay station being just a few blocks down. They were charged and will appear in Childrens' Court.
The heat makes us all cranky along with everything else.
Stay safe Bates and hope you get a cool change soon.

Thanks Bates! It was Andy's lovely horse that brought me and my friend back on here and after what happened last week, I have just kept using the profile. It's kind of like having a fresh start anyway and she taught me to be more assertive. So out with the old and in with the new.Originally posted by Bates View Post
Welcome back

Still very humid and hot in Bondi and we were all out in the foyer chatting last night trying to get some relief. My place is ground floor so it's cool and dark with plants outside the windows. I can manage with a small USB fan I bought online a few years back for $18. It has a strong wind function for something so small.
Later in the week it looks like around 20/22 degrees so that will be good for getting out and about down at the beach front again. I'm not sure if the markets will be on but it will be really pleasant and comfortable for our hardworking stall holders.

Thank you Andy but redwhiteblue is a wimp. The Duchess is much more assertive and doesn't fold as easily.Originally posted by Andrew Walker View Post

Someone asked me if I had a financial interest in your horse. I said no..I have an emotional/spiritual one..
I do remember saying to you that I was only using your 'tough love' method on Tara. Remember your 'pep' talks you were giving me before I went for my first round of surgery? Some on here were calling for your head back then but I defended you. What's good for the goose is good for the gander or horse..
Race 6 Sandown 2 nights before I had my surgery..like you say, my memory is sharp..

Now get back on topic. This thread is for the weather. Not for you to rake up old grievances.
Go do some exercise and stay hydrated please."Never sacrifice your class to get even with someone who possesses none. Their karma will come and if you are extra lucky, you get to watch."

Was warm yesterday but the humidity was down, went over to the stadium and did 12 km on the bike, that was way enough even though the air conditioning was working in the gym, then went and spent an hour and a half in the pool, very pleasant. Went to Coogee last night for the ham raffles at one of the clubs and on leaving the club it started raining, the rain got heavier while waiting at Randwick Junction but not very much when getting home in the inner west.
Looking like a nice day today, have to head over and pick up a ham we won at the butcher in Coogee but will hang low after that.

Bondi is at her most beautiful today. I was down at the beachfront just after 6am to get the bus to my friend's bakery to have breakfast at the junction. I then went around to Officeworks to get some new art supplies as I had donated my other unopened ones to a charity via work for a centre in Redfern (don't judge me, even little Rabbitohs children need good pencils
) and the breezes along Denison, Ebley and Bronte Road are most welcome and refreshing. No humidity today and our cool change will come tomorrow.
