A big storm about to hit and according to the radar there’s lots of black, meaning hail.

Cracking day on the south coast. The surf is a little bumpy however pumping!
Tip for tomorrow morning is Collers at Ulladulla for all you frothers on holidays.
I'll be at a secret locals spot that should be firing called The Reef. Shark infested so don't bother

Sort of a strange day weather wise in Sydney today, looked like it wanted to rain with some heavy clouds then it would lift to patchy blue sky, then late afternoon got about 4 to 5 drops of rain and one flash of lightning then nothing till just on dark and we got a bit of a lightning show for a while but no rain, cloud prevented seeing the full wolf moon rise. Must have been something to do with the full moon, i just couldn't get going at all, had a great night last night but felt so out of kilter when waking up and never got out of third gear all day, even had an afternoon lie down and woke feeling in a worse strange mood, it was like the full moon must have been a blue moon because i was feeling blue, just can't describe what a strange feeling it was but just couldn't shake it. Hopefully a good nights sleep and tomorrow will be a different day.Last edited by horrie hastings; 01-03-2026, 11:53 PM.

Woke up at 2.45 am to go to the bathroom and there was distant rumbling thunder and lightning, better half sleeping through it, better half got up at 4.45 am to go the bathroom so i went after and and thought i could hear rain but it was the better half who had left the bathroom tap running, there was still lightning flashing around but heard no thunder. No wonder i was feeling unsettled with the so called crazy moon and the unsettled weather in the air.

Was the same here, some parts of Sydney got hammered but here in St Peters, not much rain at all, the drops were large but wasn't much of it, a bit of thunder and it was gone.Originally posted by Bates View Post
It eventually rained down here albeit a smattering.
I'm not sure how we managed to avoid heavy rain as the BOM looked ominous.

What a beautiful Sydney day, not to hot or humid on the coast and just light winds, spent a couple of hours at Malabar ocean pool, not to crowded and the water was sparkling, a good way to get rid of some of the cobwebs. Heatwave conditions predicted to hit Sydney for the next few days at least.
