Beautiful day in Sydney, hit the pool at Allianz for about 2 hours after doing 30 mins on the exercise bike then sat and had lunch in Centennial Park, lovely day.
Yes the yo-yo weather continues. Freezing cold again. Yesterday afternoon I was trying to cool down the house with th3 aircon. Then a breezy easterly blew in at about 7:30 and voila it was cool again!
My former brother in law who just passed away a couple of months back, his property which was now left to one of my nieces was one of the properties just destroyed in the Koolewong bush fire.
Just watched my sister on the news talking about the destruction of her daughter’s house in the Koolewong bush fires.
Horrie, I only just saw your two messages about this as I haven’t popped in for a few days. That’s terrible. I wasn’t even aware there was a bushfire there either. I hope they are safe.
Thats awful H. She might have kids too? Rotten time of year too, not that there is a good time to lose your house. Hope everyone is at least ok.
Thanks Jack, the house belonged to my ex brother in law who just passed away about 6-7 weeks ago and it was left to my niece, my ex brother in laws brother was in cleaning out the house when the fire sprung up, my sister was picking up her daughter ( my niece ) from work at Gosford and they were heading over to the house when she got the phone call that the area was being evacuated so all she could do was watch the updates close by. One of the news crosses i recgonised the green railing and the steps down to the property and that all was left, what else was left looked liked a flattened pancake, just lucky no one was permanently living there at the time. Haven't found out yet from my sister what was left in the house but my ex brother in law let the insurance lapse in March this year so it is going to be a mess working out but the good thing like everyone else in the area there was no deaths or major injuries so truly grateful for that.
