Forget Robbo piping up about the Manly fiasco… though Pride jerseys for Women in League round? how dumb and utterly woke is that? and just so disrespectful to all those women who have contributed immensely to the game

But let’s forget Robbo piping up about that… though it had nothing to do with him. That wasn’t the problem in itself… rather just symptomatic of his own malaise

What happened with the Rabbits though is all on him. We beat them to open Allianz and the crowd smashed Latrell… as they should given his behaviour towards us. And we targeted him as well… all perfectly legally of course. He was a non factor… so great tactic and all good

Go forward a week… and on the eve of the biggest game of the year… and on an 8 game winning streak… Robbo thinks himself wise to tell Roosters fans how to behave… and what a great guy Latrell is… and how we should all love him even though he hates us

The following day the tables were reversed… Rabbits went out of their way to take our best player and captain out of the game but instead with thuggery… and succeeded… and paid no price from the refs… who also let us down elsewhere. Great guy Latrell was also happy to lay down and milk penalties

Post game Robbo doesn’t say anything about any of this… no he’s got nothing to say when it comes to defending his own team or captain. He actually blamed his own players and thought we should have won with a backline of reserve graders and an empty bench for the second half… if only we’d shown some discipline. Just mind boggling bullshit from the woke coach. But more than that… in saying nothing he not only sold out his own men but ceded the high moral ground to the thugs… who gladly took it and labelled us a disgrace. And so thus went the narrative the next day… we were not just beaten but utterly humiliated as a football club

So that’s how you lose a football team… with extraordinary poor man management… we haven’t played a good game since. And that’s why I’ve got a problem with this guy talking about shit which simply doesn’t matter… and then not defending the club and his own players when he simply must

People can question this… I would think it quite obvious… but no one should have any doubts when we get rolled by a team that can’t beat anyone this week

Geez bro. A few comments in press conferences that you think he could have said differently or better or taken a different stance on, and he has "lost the team" and "sold out his men." Far from it mate… and you’re being quite naive to suggest Robbo’s public persona has no influence on his players… if he rarely commented on anything perhaps… but that’s certainly not the case these days

Most league coaches are publicly very bland for sure but its often what’s said or not said in the public sphere that influences a playing group the most… which is why some coaches/managers are considered masters of the mind games and media manipulators… part of the reason why Wayne is such a great coach… and why he inspires such loyalty from his players

It's puzzling to still read comments that "Robbo is the Roosters" & "Robbo will call time on his own accord"

His is like any other job out there where he is paid on performance & results & his job is not taken for granted.

Love & respect his results in the first 7yrs but no coach or player is ever bigger than the club. They will always come & go.

I agree

To hear some here the Roosters were founded in 2013

Robbo has been a great coach for us and no one can ever take that away from him but he has changed these last couple of years… and he definitely needs to get back to what made him great in the first place because he is not a good coach these days despite having a stacked list

But as someone here astutely said maybe his heart is not in it anymore as it used to be… it certainly seems that way

I don’t necessarily blame him for that… he went back to back… what else does he have to achieve here after 10 years?
