I'm a massive fan of Robbo. I wish I could ask him one question though.

When it was so obviously apparent that Hutch (no disrespect to the bloke) was clearly getting shown up last night (Munster even acknowledged that they were targeting him) why did Robbo not give Allen (an origin rep) a short stint?

Sure Hutch is a utility. Sure he is a backup option. I get it. But surely Robbo could've seen at some point last night that it just simply wasn't Hutch''s night, and that surely Allen warranted at run at some point.

It wasn’t everyone’s night and Allen couldn’t play all 13 positions.

No not all 13 positions, but he definitely could've played centre.
The result wouldn't have been different had Allen come on, but atleast another option could've been explored

The great folly of starting Hutch in the centers must surely be done and dusted and Robinson must start the next game with a specialist 3/4.Interesting to hear that melbourne player saying after the game that they targeted him and guess what every other coach in the nrl will do exactly the same thing to the poor guy if robbo keeps picking him there. Robbo hasn't done hutch any Favours as everyone in the game now knows Hes out of his depth in the backline.

You don't think they were not also targeting Walker and Paulo in D on that right side - Certainly 2 players with deficiencies in D - No Coach would have a game plan to target one player though.

Munster may well still have a bee in his bonnet that the Hutchinator was picked in the starting 13 for the Junior Kangaroos instead of him as how many times do you hear players or in fact coaches say they targeted one player in a game post match.

It just doesn't work that way in a team sport.

I would be nervous too if I was the Hutchinator in defending outside Walker and inside Paulo.

Truth be known though 2 tries came from kicks - Also 1 when Paulo rushed up and in leaving Coastes unmarked and another with that rubbish block play with Olam.

I would like to see folk actually critique the game instead of the usual throwaway comment about players performances- x was rubbish in the game kind of comments - well what did x do for you to form that opinion etc.

Surely that is a more reasonable approach

Unfortunately (and undeservedly) I'd say that Turpin will probably drop out of the 17 to make way for Hutch on the bench next week

probably. hutch has done some good things but i agree - turps has looked real good - both at dh and in defence

Your right hutch is history as a 3/4 in fact no club in the nrl would play drew Hutchinson as a center unless they wanted a repeat of what went on the other night

But didn’t Robbo talk him up as the new Aubbo? Maybe he is and it was just the weather and Radley’s sin bin which did the real damage. If Robbo hyped him up that much that means he more than likely will try to field ‘Aubbo’ every match! All the posters here must be wrong and just cannot see the new ‘Aubbo’ Robbo says we now have! We should count our lucky stars though that none of these posters have anything to do with team lists or for that matter signings/retentions/coaching appointments etc etc.

I was amused by that statement as well.

Munster called it correctly as the chorus line of denial & delusion choose not to do so.
