Back in the 90's we had Glen Ella come and speak to us at the bank at Bondi Junction too. He focused mostly on teamwork and how rewarding it is. Now I'm back at the same company and I say at least twice a week to my workmates, what we do is a team sport and everyone has to step up and play their part. Speaking of, better get to it.

I hope you and everyone else has a great day..one more sleep to go..
Goodes was booed for quite sometime, along with a few others for his attempts at milking freekicks long before the racist thing. Staging as they call it in cross-country basketball. After a 12yr old girl called him something unsavoury he acted like 2yr old. Spat the dummy and humiliated her on national TV. He then went on rants about invasion day and changing the date. So the booing was more intense. He's made a lot of money playing a sport created by so-called invaders and lives a very comfortable life because of it. People saw through his hypocrisy.
I'd rather hear a talk by Warren Mundine or Jacinta Price. Two great indigenous Australians who seek to unite us, not divide us.

I believe there is no coach out there more suited to our club than Robbo. He influences players to love our team and our history. He can't control injuries.

One could say it's more "childish" to demand change for the sake of change when there are no better options available.
Thankyou. I don't want to insult anyone here, but there seems to be a lot of people who think it's fine to call me an idiot.
I'm not going to cry about it,
but I won't ignore personal attacks either.
My opinion of the coach is based on some of the poor performances we have put in, our constantly high error rate and our ill discipline.
Plus I think our roster is top heavy and ill balanced, and that's on him.
Those are facts which i feel exclude him from being a GREAT coach.
I want him to do well, and I love the Roosters, more than you can ever know,
I just hate him going on about Roosters Footy etc.
Anyway, I think we can win.

I'm not sure that Robbo does our roster on his pat malone, but even so, if it wasn't for our constant massive injury toll I think they've got it close to right.
Other wise we're talking about axing high profile players.........who do you choose?

I think I know how much you love the Roosters......I feel the same.
So I'm happy to put this disagreement behind us.

Just looking at the comments either way about Goodes, it is clear to me that we don't want this for ourselves and to be honest I don't want it to continue for Latrell either. I don't think we we will ever reach a point where Australians share the same views on the issue. I feel we are still deeply racist as a society towards Indigenous Australians.

Booing opposition players is not racist.
Latrell and Goodes are both stupid.

I agree Eddie. Unfortunately, we all know that but it isn't the story that the idiots in the media or certain parts of society will tell. I think flipping the script is in order.

                    News article today:

                    https://www.news.com.au/sport/nrl/tr...3d6bc21c0f6e1b

Brandon Smith is no certainty to face the Rabbitohs on Friday night and will need to get through a full session and physio work on Thursday after suffering a muscular injury in last week’s win over the Warriors.

Roosters coach Trent Robinson revealed his star recruit had only managed to get through a portion of training earlier in the week and the team would make a call on their No.9 on Thursday.
Smith played 24 minutes last weekend before he was forced off after injuring himself while tackling winger Marcelo Montoya.

There were fears he’d hurt his ribs or his lower back, but Robinson said it was more of a muscular issue.

It’s been a frustrating start to life as a Rooster, with Smith also suffering a head knock in the first-up loss to the Dolphins.

Jake Turpin is on standby if Smith is ruled out of the Friday night blockbuster.

“We’ll find out today, to be honest,” Robinson said.

“He trained a bit the other night, but he hasn’t done a full session yet, so we’ll find out more today through physio and through the session.

“It’s more muscular. We thought it was a rib, but it’s more muscular than that.”

The Roosters have always put player safety first when it comes to concussion, which is why Trent Robinson is happy that the NRL has introduced a mandatory stand-down policy. Picture: Mark Kolbe/Getty Images
Robinson also commended the NRL for introducing a mandatory 11-day stand-down policy for players who have been diagnosed with concussion.

The Roosters coach thought the policy was going to be brought in during pre-season but is happy that it’s in place now.

The Roosters have plenty of experience when it comes to brain safety and have always put player wellbeing first, with club legends Boyd Cordner and Jake Friend forced to retire, while Luke Keary has been carefully managed for his long-term safety.

Players who have shown category 1 symptoms of concussion will be automatically stood down, although there are exceptions in place based on certain criteria.

“I think it’s quite smart to bring in the 11-day protocols, but then also there are outliers which I think they’ve left the door open for, which is not a bad thing to leave the door open for slight shifts or changes on that,” Robinson said.

“Eleven days is going to look after a lot of players. Sometimes it might be too long, sometimes it might be too short, but I think they’ve done the right thing.”

Club doctors will play an important role in deciding how long some players sit out for, especially players like Kalyn Ponga who have a history of head knocks. Picture: Cameron Spencer/Getty Images
The decision to bring in the policy comes on the back of Knights star Kalyn Ponga suffering his fourth concussion in the past 10 months.

Eleven days may not be long enough for players like him who have a history of brain injuries, and that’s where Robinson says club doctors play an important role.

“It’s hard to mandate those ones. You can’t ask the NRL to do that,” he said.

“That’s up to the club doctors and the club and independent specialists to do their work to do what’s best when there’s been multiple (concussions) or lingering symptoms. Then you’ve got to go a bit further than the 11 days.

“It's a pretty serious injury to the brain but it’s like any other injury, you can’t mandate on hamstrings or shoulders or anything like that. There’s a lot of care in clubs. You’ve got to leave it up to them to take care of that.”

Why we gave them the term indigenous. It was not that many years ago that the term indigenous mean't having 2 parent's born in Australia.

We gave them? Ok mate. I mean we let them become human too when we removed them from the Flora and Fauna Act. What's next?
