Well, a win is a win. We got the 2 points and at the end of the day that's what really counts. I was pleasantly surprised, listening on a barely-tuned radio out in the bush. The beers tasted better that night.

Now, on to Souths. A very big challenge for us this week. No matter how much you dislike them, they are a strong team, and we all now how our recent outings against them have finished. I don't know if we can win this week as we are still under-strength .... I just want to be competitive.

SportsBet has us at $2.08 and Souths $1.75.

Jazz and Rads back are very big ins. Now we just have to keep them both on the field. Smith named but who knows how that will play out. The weekend always feels crap if we lose on a Friday night. Let's hope for a REALLY good start to a great weekend !!!

The only positive is we can go all out and try and bash them around and get stuck in hard (legally) because we have the bye next week. Our season won't be defined based off a win or loss against this mob though. Just get through it without any major injury concerns or suspensions or a hammering on the scoreline and it's happy days from me.

Interesting to see that JWH has been named to start immediately. No way he could be completely fit to play from the start.

We have to be disciplined enough to take Sutton out of the equation. I don't buy the refs against us thing, I just think they are all pretty average refs. You see just as many dud decisions when you watch non-Roosters games as you see in ours. There is probably some measure of unconscious bias involved, it would be next to impossible to grow up as a footy enthusiast (as I assume all refs have) and not have some. Our job is to make the ref irrelevant, although that can be easier said than done.
