  • Did Suaalii purposely snub Teddy?

Suaalii's line break midway through second half. Teddy would have scored untouched under the posts. Media beat up, or is there something to this?

100% didn’t. I just think he was slight wrong footed, shoulders left and a case of a 19 year old doing what 19 year olds do. Go themselves.

I think he thought he had Martin beaten and backed himself. Probably a by-product of his development as a kid when he would make a break and do it all himself.

I hope not, hopefully it was just a 19 year olds brain snap..... but he needs to get a severe kick up the arse, and not do it again.

No way in the world, as we have a "team-first" mentality ... JS will learn from this and make him a better player, noting that all of last year he never had to pass from left to right.

That's the definition of a media beat up.

            What a load of shit.

100% no. I hate that the media are trying to destabilize our club by suggesting Teddy is on the outs because of J.S. Faarrk right off!!!! These are the same scum that can not handle that we have Manu, Teddy and JS in the same team. Teddy is Roosters royalty at this stage. The best player in the game.

No he just wanted to be the hero. Latrell used to do the same. Awful play from Joe though.

IMO it's like asking whether somebody's been dropped or rested. It's a choice of words that decides how much weight you wanna put on the situation.

From my perspective he's backed himself to at very least run through the guy (which he did). He then passed Teddy the ball once he ran outta space (and Keary cheekily stole the try... which almost looked planned as it was unexpected and Teddy was marked).

Wouldn't be surprised if Robbo's coached Sua'ali'i to back himself and told Teddy to let the others take a little more of the limelight as he's the targeted support player. From my perspective Sua'ali'i is the more damaging runner and Teddy's the 'always there to support your run if you need the option'. Thus, this was a glimpse of what's to come. You WANT Sua'ali'i to have a reputation for not offloading because then you seed doubt in defenders' minds.

Against better teams I reckon such confidence will pay dividends. It wasn't a Jake Friend / Jackson Hastings style situation where Friend was like 'NOPE NOT PASSING IT BECAUSE YOU'RE GONNA KICK IT AND I TOLD YOU NOT TO!!!'

                          Dont think he did

One thing i didn't realise about Suaalii coming through is his lack of pace.

Nothing in it. Media just trying to dramatise the shit out of nothing !

Suaalii just backed himself and thought he could outrun/get past Te Maire Martin ... typical 19 year old playing in front of a home crowd, family and friends ... thought he could have his 10 second of glory and create a highlight reel moment. No issue with Teddy, he's not that big of a star yet to pick fights especially against the current number #1 rugby league Fullback in the world, and the reigning Blues and Kangaroos Fullback/Captain.

Other players in the team would bring him back down to Earth and humble the crap out of him very quick if he were to act out !

PS: Just go watch the victory song/celebration in the sheds afterwards ... he doesn't appear to have any issues at all !

Didn't he bomb a couple tries against Souths in that semi by not passing?

Just oozes confidence but needs to learn to play the safe option.
