Don't know what you do for a living champ, but I'd bet that you don't get off the bus walk into work and then be smashed by a 18 stone forward while you're on your way to the coffee machine, they are doing a lot of research on the long term effects these things are having on guys like our own Boyd Cordner and others who have played i reckon personally that they deserve every dollar they get and how he chooses to look after himself and his family or spend it is his business and nobody else's exactly the same as the way you chose to look after your finances bud.

It’s his choice to earn his living that way champ. The point is, you don’t need that sort of coin to live and support your family. He is a grounded kid but I hope the money doesn’t change that.

Eddie Jones just agreed to a 5 year contract to have another stint as coach of the Wallabies.....he is someone with the pull to get rugby to league converts back to rugby. Think it's only a matter of time until Joe is offered the kitchen sink by Rugby Australia tbh.

Suaalii is not likely to be a club legend in the mould of a stalwart or appearance maker. He can become an icon of the club like SBW or Cronk who can make a huge impact in a limited amount of time. With the announcement of Eddie Jones returning to coach the Wallabies, the ARU will have more pull and more media attention than they've had for a decade.

We need to accept JS will leave sooner rather than later but it doesn't make him any less of a Rooster. Despite his reputation of being a teen prodigy and a genetic freak, he plays like someone who doesn't think he's owed anything and no regard for self-preservation. For that reason, he is a winner and will always be a positive influence to the club even if he does intend to leave to chase money and fame elsewhere. Let's enjoy him for as long as we can. In my opinion, this will be his last season as a Rooster (at least in this stint) so the pressure is on Robbo and the staff to get the absolute best out of this freak and win a premiership while he's with us.

I am not sure like most of us on what will happen with Suaalii and how long he'll stay. More importantly we have no idea if dollars or titles are what drives him. So many on here believe he is a mercenary, and you might be right but I'm sick of media reports assuming he is worth a million a season.

Eddie Jones has three NRL targets in mind to sign to the Wallabies.

He hasn’t identified the three, but well placed sources indicate that some high-profile league stars who are all off contract this year are on a list of interest at Rugby Australia.

Rising Roosters gun Joseph Sua’ali’i is the obvious No.1 target for rugby.

But alongside him, Parramatta Eels centre Will Penisini, Manly flyer Tolu Koula and Melbourne Storm enforcer Nelson Asofa-Solomona are wanted by RA.

Former schoolboys rugby player Sua’ali’i starred for Samoa at the Rugby League World Cup, and has all the physical attributes and mental toughness to switch codes and take on international rugby rivals immediately.

It’s no wonder RA has a massive offer waiting in the wings for the 19-year-old.

They require private investment to bump up Sua’ali’i to a potential $10 million offer, but the suits at Moore Park are confident given Australia will host the multimillion dollar 2025 British & Irish Lions series, and the 2027 World Cup.

This will be his last season, the reported $10 million will be a long term contract of 7 or 8 years similar to what DCE signed with Manly.

There is no use debating if premierships or money are important to him.
If any of you were as good a player as him saying you would stay for half the amount to win a premiership with the roosters are delusional.
They offered me that sort of money to leave the roosters I would be gone in a heartbeat, you have at most 10 years as a professional sportsman so you need to take the money when its that high.
