Is there a reason why JS has this buffer? Once upon a time he was 17 and it made sense. Now? I love the guy and wanna sign him forever but it sounds like his manager's gonna be testing the water all season potentially.
Guessing JS's been more mature about it and we think he has more potential? Whereas we've seen 'Trell's potential and it doesn't seem to involve 20km runs around Bangkok every night to lose a few kegs & prep himself to zip around every single play like Teddy / Edwards / Ponga / Kennedy...etc. It just involves him getting paid more and having the status gained by the title of 'fullback'.
Those family buckets he snorts aren’t cheap!FVCK CANCER

Having said that we have no idea what he wants to achieve personally and that will play a part in his decision for example he might want to captain Samoa in the next world cup, win a premiership ring maybe play for the Blues but if he remains in league he has strong ties with the chooks and that will be very important in any decision he makes also we are a powerful club and have a real chance of winning a couple of premierships iFVCK CANCER

It's extraordinarily optimistic to imagine that he'll get through 2023 without one, sadly. Let alone 2024 as well.
Kez is also a smart and grounded guy who will put his health and family first.
Btw Cords didn't play 200 FG games either...Last edited by Tommy Smith; 01-11-2023, 03:03 PM.

Suaalii could spend his entire career at the Roosters, earning probably in the region of 15m salary. On top of that he'd also have access to the best financial minds in the country at the Roosters. And a job for life upon retirement.
I'd say that might be enough to look after his family.

It is really nobody's business whether he wants to look after his parents, extended family, his grandparents' village, or just live it up in $20m beachfront house and drive around in a Bugatti.

And the Wallabies or some other NRL club would cough up the money? I'm not sure "hey Joseph, you might suffer a career ending injury this year so go sign with the Wallabies asap" is sound advice.
Uncle Nick is the most honourable owner/chairman left in the game. So he is actually the most likely to take care of a loyal player long before anyone else at another club. The proof is in the pudding there. And that doesn't mean free money. That's not Nick's style. It means a position at the club or a pathway to success elsewhere.

I like him, but unless he signs a decent extension with us, I’m not getting to attached to him.
