This is one of those games that bring to mind the old Cliche' "its a game of 2 halves".

First half, we had great possession, great field position and completion was great, for most of the first half we were at 100% completion.

we still had no idea what to do on the 5th tackle, but we actually put a grubber into the ingoal and actually got a repeat set !! i don't think i have seen one of those by the Roosters for nearly 8 months !!!

If calls were made correctly by the video ref, we would have gone into the half (possibly) 10-6 down, that was not the case and we go in 16-0

So we go in, dudded by the ref and 16 down......... i would love to know what was said in the sheds that brought out our "best" in the 2nd half !

Great attitude and tactics in the first half should have seen us probably lead at halftime. Two obstruction trys from them and one from a dud penalty, plus a fair try to us knocked back.

If the correct and fair decisions were made we wouldnt have dropped the focus in the 2nd half. The end scoreline is no indication other than News Limited and the wheel of corruption is as solid as ever. It is sickening.

Rugby League is a great game but its not a level playing field.

Stick with your team regardless - it's is all we can do at the moment.

Try being the lone female Roosters fan on a tram full of them from AAMI Park back to Flinders St. Not one of them dared make eye contact with me. Didn't help that jman/past glory was sending me filthy texts about the refs which made me laugh out loud. They probably thought I was nuts, so they left me alone! I'll never watch the movie "The Color Purple" again!!

But but it's a CONSPIRACY by news ltd even though they don't own any portion of the game under the independent commission...lol

I think this quote - the first paragraph in a story from The Telegraph of all places - sums things up for me.

Mini was a brilliant athlete and admittedly still is fantastic under the high ball but is an adlib type player.. Pearce is obviously someone who has got where he has through coaching and hard work but does not have the ability to read the play, same goes for Friend. I am not sure what to make of Anasta but given he struggles to pass the ball right to left and no longer has a running game I think he has little value or abilities at all.
No, Melbourne have freaks in these positions - they have the best seven in the comp, the best nine in a decade and (possibly) the best fullback ever.

To compare our spine to theirs is just silly.

I agree. We were probably never going to win anyway, but the refs and video ref made it an absolute certainty. When you're against it from the start in terms of youth and experience and quality playmakers, it's hard enough. When every single 50/50 call (and those that are clearly in your favour to everyone that's watching) go against you it is so demoralising for the team. How is it they get the BOD for that obstruction try yet we don't for the Perrett try. There was more doubt in the Perrett one. And don't go on about the Cordner decision. That try had absolutely no bearing on the game as it was completely gone by then. Going in at half time 10-6 is a lot better than 16-0 for a young team still trying to get it together. Once they picked up a try at the start of the 2nd half the game was all over.

I feel your pain, a bit like going to Origin at Suncorp in a NSW jersey. I'm about to do it all again this year .... hope NSW can win this year.

My point was that we don't have footballers in those positions, not that they aren't as good as Melbourne's.
