Paul atm should go to Reggies and get some confidence back nail the basics and hopefully he can come good I’m not solely blaming him for the loss but that miss in the context of the game cost us any chance of winning.
      So did Keary's stupid kick.
So did N Butcher's dumb shoulder contact on the Raider's player that stuffed up Sitili's try for obstruction.
So did the dumb penalties Baker gave. away.
Our halves got run over by the big opposition players as usual.
      As did our forwards.
We only had one genuine, experienced prop.
We should've challenged Suaalii's loss of the ball.
Mostly though the refereeing of the game didn't suit us.
What does our high performance dept actually do?

Did the high performance department run off with your Mrs? You seem to really have it in for em.

No he just doesn't want to anyone blame anyone with any emotion. He can single out errors of course but he is the only one allowed to because in his opinion he does it in a mature and respectful way backed up by stats and truth according to him. We all must be 100% supportive of all players at all times and if we are not we are not supporters of our club we have supported for 50 years. Oh and he wants to give all players a participation award at the end of every game while they are still on the field and we all must stand and cheer every player equally when he/she receives his/her small trophy.

Fair dinkum Salvo you can be a real flog a lot of the time.

He is way out of form but I don't think that he is hit his ceiling.

We have all seen how good he can be, he just needs to go back to NSW cup to find his form.
tbh i was surprised we paid solid money for him when if smith was fit and suaalii developed he wasn't guaranteed a place in the top 13 but we normally get recruitment right so i can live with it.
will be interesting to see how robbo handles him this week - does he give him a spell with the bears or does he get in his ear and stick with him. a few years back iku had a shocker, much worse than what momo has done this year, but robbo stuck with him and he didn't let the team down.

Don't quite agree re Ikuvalu, while he has some shockers, primarily with his hands. He was always a threat with the ball when we were in the opposition 20 and always made good metres on our yardage sets out of trouble (well when he didn't drop the ball lol). Anyway 'fumbles'as some used to call him would usually only fumble one a game (ok yes he has a few worse ones but counter that with other games in which he was a try scoring often 2 or more tryscoring hero) Those one or 2 fumbles a game is the standard for most young back up wingers, they are usually put under more high pressure kicks than FBs these days... He probably was on less money and scored more than he let in.....

Momo doesnt offer much with the ball (which is one of the reasons we can't convert our tackles in the opposition 20m into tries, our left edge last game was impotent) and his so called strong part of his game is in tatters atm. He needs some time in reggies....

What type of horse-shit is this ? shifting the blame to and questioning the "high performance department" ???

Last time I was told, the high performance department looks after player analytics, strength and conditioning, managing some sort of performance plan/program, advanced skills improvement such as sprinting/running/plyometrics and they have some involvement with the diet/nutrition etc

Since when is it the HPD's responsibility or area of expertise to refine a player's skills and abilities especially with the basics on how to tackle (defence) and how to attack with the ball in hand (attack) for example ???

Stop it ism - he had one good run - the other good run he ended up over the sideline - so not a good run - definitely no great runs. He did bugger all else bar miss a crucial tackle. He didn't play really well. He is coping it for a team loss I agree but let's not over play his "greatness" in the game.

                          • I'd like to see Smith get another shot at it. Whatever you think of Momo's ability, he is simply not performing at the moment. I think Smith offers more, especially if he can string a few games together - I reckon there's a good footballer in there somewhere.

                              • Gotta love a chookpen meltdown.

Looks like we have found our new scapegoat.

Remember when it was Jake Friend and Mitchell Aubusson? Both offered nothing in attack, ineffective, missed key tackles, Robbos favourites etc.

                                Both retired club legends.
