Shocks me though TBH. You can go from scenes of a heroic coach guiding his troops to victory over that same coach resigning after a subsequent 16-6 loss and a 14-4 loss. I dunno! I know his record's pretty bad but hope Barrett's in a good place if he seriously did resign after saying basically 'I gave it all I had and am worn out as I have no solutions'.

Would Barrett be an okay pick-up as a trainer or something?

NO! 5 wins out of 35 games, and his horrendous stint in Manly. Definitely pass.

As bad as his head coaching record is, he has a pretty good record as an assistant coach. Maybe some guys are just destined to be 2IC ...cannot see him getting a head coach job again.
