Yep 8th ranked team narrowly misses out on getting a result against 1 of 2 pretty much invincible teams. Such pretenders!

I get that we're used to winning premierships and stuff but our 'in between' seasons could be a LOT worse. Yesterday's result demonstrates we're in the race. We're NOT pretending... we're a farking whisker away from giving it to the big dogs.

- 80 Minutes with 2 halves on the field

- JWH, Radley and Verrills return

- Form continues to improve

- Eels, Riff, Bye, Dragons, Knights, Manly, Drongos, Cows... we could chain together some serious momentum over the next couple of months

Why not the Rooster havnt had their run yet, and the end of the season is the best time to have it.
That's one of Robbos strengths, he doesn't panic nowhere near as much as us supporters....

I have been a supporter for around 50 years and have been through the good times and the crap times.
I remember the transit lounge days when it was hard to go to games week in week out.
We aren't going so great this season but will still make the 8, many teams mark that as a successful season and here we are whinging about it, that's because we are now use to success.

We will most likely drop out of the 8 over the next few weeks but after the bye I feel we will only loose 1 game before the finals.
We should get to week 2 but don't think we can challenge the current top 3 teams.

We've already beaten the Cows, Drongos and Unagi. Last round we challenged the Drizz.

Ladder predictions aside, I think we have the roster to challenge anybody. What shits me is that we lack the consistency to convert it into a top-4 position on the ladder. For now.

'we play for comps' means that we will give ourselves a chance to win from anywhere. we don't have to be in a position to win the comp in june and while we're a chance to be there or thereabouts when it matters all we've got to worry about atm is playing good footy
