Any real chance now of making the 8?

Making the 8 now is about the best we can hope for build for next season I would just love to see an 80 minute performance I mean surely that is not impossible? Last night damn near all of Melbournes points came from us gifting them field position and lapses in defence from the same players.

Robbo is clearly frustrated you can see it in his face in the pressers, what works in training is just not replicating on game day, all we needed was Sitili to catch that damn ball and we were home, the moments aren’t ours unfortunately when the going gets tough it only gets tougher before it gets easier.

Honestly though I want to see a couple changes

Momo to Smith
Watson to Marshke

Either one of May/DSF or Baker comes out for JWH

We need a specialist Dummy Half, we have that why is he not being utilised? The kids tough I love what he does with the defence in the middle not afraid of anyone, will not let anyone down.

I called it after the Dogs loss we wont make the 8 althiugh I think we are playing well enough to do so. We are going to need a bit of luck and that luck just might be that there are 8 sides worse than us Sad thing is with a decent NO 9 we are a top 4 team in my eyes

And we do it without Radley, JWH and Verills too.

You need not to get left at the starting gate.
You need to always be up with the leaders during the race, ready to pounce on the turn for home and the winning post.

This "starting slowly it's only April" nonsense is for yesterday, the new comp demands that winning every game is vital.
Gotta win all home games and a good share of away games to win the comp.
Gotta get home finals and win them too.

Gotta have players like Marschke, Lam, Keighran, May, Kevin etc trained, primed ready to play in finals/GF in case of injuries etc.
They must be paid well enough so they stay.

Everyone knows u can't realistically win a comp unless u finish top 4.

Current top 4 is 20 points, we are 14 and with tough games ahead.
And we are gonna win 4 finals games in a row when the past few yrs we struggle to win one semi?

If you finish top 4 and lose the first week of the finals you are in the same position as the winners from the 5 vs 8 and 6 vs 7 games.

All depends how you are playing and the players you have and their fitness in how you go in a finals series irrespective of how many games you play.

I’m not telling any Dogs fans anything. I don’t give a flying rats what they think but I do still believe in and support our boys. I would rather be positive and think we can and the be proven wrong, than to be a negative Nancy and be proven right.
