Surely in the 1st game/early season you would be concentrating on the basics of the game though as obviously you are not going to be playing your top game early in the season.
So getting the basics right such as high set completions/good kick and chase game /defence/ low errors and disciplined footy is what you would want from your 17 players as a minimum.
What is it will ball control and the inability to have high set completions ? - NRLW and Junior Reps/Pathway sides have the same problem - one of the lowest or lowest set completions in their respective comps.
They wont beat an egg let alone be a genuine contender if they do not improve all aspects of their game starting with the basic fundamentals.
The Stats are dreadful reading and in reality unacceptable even for a first game- same grime same flannel as they say for a number of these stats.
