I always live in hope the day will come when the Roosters won't consistently be on the wrong side of lopsided penalty counts.

It’s a solid hit out by a half to two-thirds strength Tricolours against virtually full strength tigers. No favours in the 50-50s from Sutton as usual. Nothing more.
teddy, Watson, JWH, TKO and Angus to join. Maybe Keary as well . Plus Sammy sat off most of the last 30 mins.
      relax

All in all defence was pretty good, and we just didn’t have enough ball for the majority of the game to do anything in attack

Horrendous conditions but was hoping to see a bit more from Naufahu Whyte tonight

            Hopefully better for round one.
1-7 penalties against us and a truckload of forward passes by Tigers let go haven't helped us.
Commentators seemingly cheering for anyone who plays the Roosters and seemingly *after* Radley.
Trent will need his circus music and steamers this season, seemingly.
It’s wasn’t poor, it was a trial with a mixed side. It’s what preseason footy is - clunky

Nearly no possession. If we keep on like this we can forget about 2022. No spark in attack in our depth if our top players get injured.

Teddy and JWH carried us last year.
we will be a wayyyyy better side with those two back. Plus add in everyone else and we have a ripper of a team.

we rarely go good in trials.

I thought the boys were excellent tonight- some real commitment from some new faces.

Cant wait for Keary to get back and take control of the team again. Teddy and Walker will have a lot more room, time and a lot less pressure with Keary playing his natural game of calling the shots

They are saying it was a cannon ball tackle? - Not sure about that as he grabbed the one leg and you could argue the other two defenders holding Hastings up bent him backwards in the tackle which made it look worse - hopefully the judiciary doesn't see it that way.

Be a Grade 1 Dangerous contact - other if that - $ 1500 or 100 points and certainly not a grade 2- Not sure if he has any carry overs or loading's for non similar offences.

Tamou is in more trouble - dangerous contact other/contrary conduct -grade 2 I would say as it was pretty clear - grade 2 - 200 points

This is why a paid employee from an NRL club should not be commentating.
I liked him before he went to the Raiders and think he would be great but it is so obvious how one sided he is.
If Collins was a Raider it would have been a different story and one thing Trell is right about is how the media has such an influence on the game.

I really liked Toupanoua as an impact player off the bench. Never less, he will start.
Keven and Hutch are back ups but we will need them.

Cannonball tackles have been charged as Dangerous Contact other - Not sure which grade if charged as they have been charged as grade 1 and 2 and or if he has any carry overs or loading's for non similar offences.
                            Grade 1 - $1500 or 100 points - no games missed
                            Grade 2 - 200 - 1 to 2 weeks - 1 game with an early plea
                            Grade 3 - 300 - 2 to 3 weeks - 2 games with an early plea

I also think first contact was well above the knee and then slid down, it was all very very fast.
                            Not making excuses, so dumb!

Yep... winning 8-0 then took all the players off and lost 16-8 despite spending ~60 minutes defending repeat sets on our line (with Roberts and Leilua constantly being fed ball in generous positions).

Before the game Robbo said he wanted to see experienced players combining well with youngsters.

IMO we got the job done in defence but our attack was atrocious. Expecting massive improvements once you add Teddy, JWH, Crichton, SST, Keary...etc to that side (and don't pull the team after 20 mins).

Collins likely suspended. W... T... F was that tackle?!?!? Almost as bad as what Tamou did to Walker (grub - remember when that guy was treated like top shyte and getting fast-tracked into rep sides? Reminds me of Jamal Idris except he's still playing for some reason).

Grade 1 if that for Collins - a fine if he has no carryovers or loading's - grabbed one leg so not a cannonball tackle as fox sport is saying -clumsy but not a missile as Ennis was saying
