The longest stint Soward ever got in first grade with us was 4 games straight. Halves need a fark load more time than that to establish themselves. He had 22 games for us over 3.5 years. He lived in fear of being dropped. At St George he's never really had that fear, and look where he is now.

What an absolute load of bullshit. When Pearce took over in round 2 we lost his first 4 games in a row. Won in round 7 after the bye and continued with LWLWLW until round 13 if memory serves me correctly where we got 2 wins in a row.

Pearce was very inconsistent in his start to his career, but the club mentality changed and we decided to choose a player and stick with it.

As for Soward not performing last year, I suggest you actually pay attention. He actually got the club's player of the year award, into NRL.com's team of the year, leagueunlimited.com's player of the year, and was in the top 5 of the dally M prior to his injury, and one of the leaders in the comp for various key stats like Try Assists. He was nowhere near as good or as consistent as he has been this year, but he was still consistently one of the dragons best players last year.

you have a very simple way of looking at things ...in your books a team winning is the ulitmate measure of a 17 year old players performance ?.

every judge in the game considers Pearce a superstar in the making...the fact we had a sh*t year in 2007 means jacksh*t.

Soward went cap in hand to illawarra, becasue no-one wanted him ( not just Easts ) and played the year under a coach who did'nt give a fark, after having ben dumped to park football.
