The drug charges seem to take all the attention but didn't they only find him while searching him after he got into a fight with some dude? (Blah blah blah allegedly...etc).

Japan's the sorta country where I regularly got stopped for absolutely no reason, asked to show my passport/visa and asked to explain why I was (for example) staggering home drunk at 3:00am. Fergo shoulda known MUCH better!!! Particularly during COVID. I wanna get in there to see my daughter and lemme tell you, it isn't easy for foreigners to get into Japan at the moment!!! Thanks Fergo for giving team gaijin a massive uppercut in the face at a time when we're trying to move forward.

I'll try to keep it short, but when trying to see my daughter I get treated like a farking crook (her step-dad preps the cops before each visit and always puts of a heap of theatrics to make my visitations as shyte as possible). Everybody knows how farking crazy I am... and I've gotta bottle everything in so that I don't come across as being an aggressive foreigner in the public eye (with cops surrounding a small train station + the stepdad doing everything within his power to be a punchable @rsehole). After all this work, I get shut outta Japan for 2-3 years because of COVID. Japan lets Fergo in as an elite athlete and what does he do? Punch a guy and source cocaine!!! Fark me. It makes me so angry because inadvertently this kinda stuff makes me look like a barbarian... 'hey I heard some Australian guy was really violent'. Bloody Fergo! I like the guy too... he was such a good news story with us. If only I could turn back the clock on this one and somehow stop him.

      Float. Mind and body relaxed.
Anger is a menace, people get angry and mistakes get made.
      Crazy? is bad.
Polite, smiling, bowing, kind eyed foreigner...is good.
      Get taken aside entering Japan?
Be pleasant, obey all directions in a calm manner.

        Pretty much...

Think I've told it on here but the one time I farked up in Japan was when I rode a bicycle home while drunk. Long story short I knew the owner of a bar so grabbed his bike at 3am (they have a bike rego system to prevent thefts) and rode home (woulda asked permission but he'd gone home already and staff were locking up).

On the way home (dark backstreet, riding VERY slowly) I got stopped by a cop. When dismounting the bike I stood back pretty far so he couldn't smell my breath. And... just smiled + complied.

        It went something like this...
Cop: 'evening sir, what are you doing out riding your bike around dark streets at this hour?' (In Australia people would cry 'RACISM!!!' if this happened to somebody of colour but TBH I reckon it's a fair question)

Me: 'Oh sorry... my apologies... the GFC has caused a lot of stress. I cannot sleep, so I am riding around to cool down'.

Cop: [warm voice] 'Aaah is that so? Yes it's difficult times hey. Where are you going now?'

Me: 'I'm riding home now... my house is just around the corner'

Cop: 'Good good... yes please go straight home and get some sleep!!!'

Me: 'Thank you I will... sorry to disturb you! Have a lovely night!!!'

        Cop: 'bye!'

        ---

Now he coulda asked for my ID (didn't so never smelled my breath), given me an RBT on the spot, scrutinised the rego of the bike (to find out it belonged to a bar, which I'd likely pinched it from) and the like. However, he didn't do any of this because I was calm, cheerful and... COMPLIANT!!!

My experience with Japanese cops is that they're smart. They'll ask people who are looking a bit suss how they are and so long as they are friendly, compliant and agree to go straight home they'll leave you alone. However if you're a d!ckhead, they'll throw the book at you HARD, scrutinise every little detail and make sure you suffer.

Half my interactions with Japanese cops end up with me struggling to stay awake because we are SO friendly that they wanna sit around for hours talking about their friend's wedding in Australia (or something like that). I wish Aussie cops were more like them rather than big dudes with tats who go around acting like thugs no matter what you do.

Do you reckon Fergo’s big enough to survive in jail?
