Really great insight into Rads and our well run organisation. Loved it! Cheers for sharing OP!!

Now we’ll wait for the NRLs woke brigade to come slap Rads with a fine for too many Fs and Cs per minute.

Hope these platforms continue to gain popularity as like many have said it’s such a refreshing take on interviewing a footballer.

It’s like he was trying to be cool but just isn’t. I found him pretty annoying.

Love the guy but he has a serious drinking problem. Everything in this discussion was punctuated with alcoholic libations.

the interviewer is Clarrie Moore played sg ball with us and is currently playing easts rugby I think.

Great to see Rads looking healthy and positive . Only got though the first 20 min because of all the rubbish talk and unnecessary swearing. I'm not a saint or anything myself either but it really doesn't show much intelligence to need to swear so much in general conversation . If he our anyone else did that in front of my wife and daughters I would call them out . its not the actual language , its the disrespect it shows. Sorry

I hope this isn't the start of a thing where all these young guys do regular podcasts. I think exposure to social madia through the season will do more harm than good. Plenty of people just waiting to tear them down, and if they start competing for attention etc, I think it will end badly. Like reading your own headlines. I would rather just see them play footy, and keep a low profile.

if the media and the public have a certain perception on an athlete that isnt true. social media and podcasts make it easy to convey who they are as a person as well as humanising the athletes.

i love being able to have a closer insight into footy. people and times are changing. sure they could all be like Daniel Tupou and not have a public presence at all (nothing wrong with that), but then rugby league would be boring if every single player just hid behind closed doors.

this is an entertainment business and what they do is provide it, whether that be on the field or off it, talking into a microphone.

Rugby league is Sport an Sport is entertainment! Can only be good for sport if it's entertaining us as we are the Auduence talking about the new content!!!

He’s 23, and knows when to pull his head in.

doesn’t sound like a drinking problem, if he was causing havoc or letting it affect his game then fair enough but I can’t see a problem at all

I know a few 23 yr olds, him and them are no diff to when I was that age.
What I took from the Interview is that he now knows...as he said 'he needs to learn the hard way' that he needs to be pull his head in a bit and he kept referring to being 'selfish' ie not go drinking, so I suspect he'll have a monster year.
Expect to see him channel his 'inner Boyd' ie do those monstrously hard, brutal hit-ups from out of our 30, 'skittle them' to get us on the front foot. He's always done the hard hit-ups, he'll take it to his 'inner Boyd' level this year.

Exactly, what's the point of being young if you can't enjoy a drink and chase pretty girls.
We can't expect them to live like monks , as long as they do it at the right time and doesn't effect their training and performance.
I'm sure that he enjoyed himself when the season was over as most of us like to when we go on holidays but once the pre season starts he sounded like he knew he had to tone it down a notch and pull his head in.

there is no prize for entertainers, there is only a prize for winners, athletes, dedicated sportsmen. it's not an entertainment business, it is a professional sport, and the players would be better off with as little contact with journalists and anti social media as possible. Probably sounds square to anyone under 40, but most of them wouldn't have a clue. they think hit and giggle BBL is cricket.
