What’s happening with the naiqama sighing. Taking a long time to become official if it is happening at all?

Dunno but let's keep it alive

Maybe we're holding off coz we need to find money for B-Smizzle in 2022?

Also, no official announcement from the club re Angus extension. Also, according to Zero tackle, Robbo is only signed for 2022. Get on with it Roosters and lock these 2 in.

I read somewhere that Robbo is signed until 2025.

                    Here it is!

                    https://www.roosters.com.au/news/202...ters-for-2022/

The Sydney Roosters are pleased to announce the signing of Fiji captain and three-time Super League champion Kevin Naiqama for season 2022.

The 32-year-old returns to Australia after a successful three-year stint at Super League club St Helens, where he played an integral part in the club's three consecutive championships, including his two-try performance in the 2021 Super League Grand Final which saw him claim the Harry Sunderland Medal as man of the match.

A veteran of the NRL with 113 matches to his name for the Newcastle Knights, Penrith Panthers and Wests Tigers, Naiqama adds plenty of versatility and experience to the Sydney Roosters backline, able to play in the centres, on the wing and at fullback, having done so at club and international level.

Leading on and off the field, Naiqama has represented Fiji in 19 test matches and 10 World Cup matches, captaining the side since 2016, including the 2017 Rugby League World Cup.

Only 32 years of age. Seems like he has been around forever. He does everything at a million miles a hour, covers wing and centres and brings experience & professionalism. 2021 showed how depth in your ranks can be important. Go Kev!!

Yes Tedesco would know him quite well from their days at the Wests Tigers- I suppose the British Pound was too good in leaving the NRL for 3 years in St Helens

Well. I guess Zero Tackle and Fox Sports need to get insinc. Just would love to see the Roosters announcement on Angus though. Not worried about Robbo. I think Easts are home to him until he decides to go back to France.

Solid depth!! I’d say he is a direct replacement for Iku. Being a wealth of experience I’d say the chooks have picked up well here. Probably cheap too as I’d say he is chasing an NRL premiership.
