    Worst case scenario is Manu signs with Souths to replace Gagai.
    Vermin don't have the cash - have cap issues going forward- Clubs with a chance other than Chooks in signing Manu would be Bronco's/Warriors/Dolphins - Dragons/Dogs and Titans have also been mentioned as potential landing spots for his signature.

    Current tax rates

    $180,001 and over - $51,667 and $0.45 cents for each dollar over $180,000

    If on 750 k currently and offered 1 mill - 250k difference - Taxed at 47% ( 45% tax plus 2% Medicare levy ) - extra $ 132,500

    A lot of things are provided to players by the club or sponsors so there is not a lot of deductions claimable

    * Manager fees
    * Laundry of training gear
    * Post tax personal superannuation contributions
    *Luggage expenses if not supplied or paid for by the Club

    But still an additional 132.5 k is more than a lot folk earn in a taxable income year

          For sure mate. The meltdown on the Chookpen would be an interesting read.

            Manu will get 1m on the market...so he's basically gone.
            Keep playing with yourself.
            If any rep coach had to pick between Latrell & Manu they would pick Latrell every time because they like what Latrell did to Joey. Believe me mate as much as the NRL talk up clean footy all the coaches teach dirty footy even Robbo because the game is about aggression Latrell has loads more of it then Joey.

              I fear for us.
              I think we will be fine with the speed of the game now.

                  Most clubs would kill for for a Walker/Keary combo.

                      If anything happens to Keary long term you can kiss the top 4 goodbye next year.

                        I agree but the Walker/Keary combo is a big risk. You would put money on Keary or Walker getting injured next year for 4 or 6 weeks wouldnt you?

                          For sure and that is where Hutch, Watson, Lam and Keighran all come in. No way the same guys play all season even without rep games.
