    > Personally I believe everyone is very reactionary currently which includes myself however, we can only go off on what we see on a week to week basis which has lead to some throwing in the towel or bringing out knifes to attack players as to use as scapegoats. I echo my sentiments on my last post in the match day thread heavily, cause realistically this season has caused a lot of fear which has stemmed from that loss to Souffs last yr.

Agreed, although I think a lot of it comes down to passion. It's a rough season and we love our team so of course we get fired up.

IMO if Melbourne lost 50-0 you'd hear crickets because nobody cares. I think passionate rants are overall a positive as they demonstrate that fans give a shyte and are impacted by the way the game goes. We all watched that Drizz game (and the Riff game) somewhat foolishly expecting a competitive match-up. We'll be back again next week with the same amount of passion and I think only good things can come of that.

    > In relation to those scapegoating players, they might not be up to your standards but you have to simply understand that the Roosters won't have quality back ups in every position and have to be realistic with how injuries have treating the roosters since 2020. I repeat that we only can realistically make a proper evaluation once the last game of the season is over.

Yep... I dunno why people are attacking Lam and Ikuvalu in particular. When you have a shyte game, everybody looks shyte. I mean Teddy looked cr@p!!! He kept running backwards and throwing ridiculous passes that got us nowhere. And yet, he was MoTM for Origin just a few days ago. If you judged everybody by how they look when their team's down 46-0 then there wouldn't be many 'good' NRL players out there.

The Chookpen would go into meltdown and we would lose access for a few days.

Yeah I know, we have too much quality compared to them.

I couldn’t read it. Too many words, not enough emojis.

                  - This year's shyte, largely due to injuries
                  - The Pen always goes wild/irrational after losses... a lot of the criticisms of individual players are pretty stupid
                  - We've had a lot of good luck and are not used to losing
                  - The Riff and the Drizz are the top two. Chin up... ✊
[Edit: sorry, most of my emojis didn't show up]

Officially our retirees have all used the concussion card publicly as reason for retiring. But with the way the game is headed and the way Easts are travelling, I wonder if they’ve stopped enjoying the game as it is now so have called it a day. Other players might want out quickly while they can still get a decent price because more thrashings will only lower their market value.

Some of us came from not much in life, good for you if you had the fortune and upbringing to foster education.

I am not after humanity or sympathy, because this is the last place I would come for that, why do we have to have a dig at a Roosters brother over his or hers education or social economic standing.

Bloody hope not. It would be embarrassing.

We all said the same thing leading into the Donkeys game. Look how that worked out. And we are still paying the price for it.

If this is the roosters in a crisis we arnt going too bad then.
With all things considered we really should be lower on the ladder.

Yes, time for a reality check. Losing KEARY, FRIEND, B MOZ, CORDNER, COLLINS for the season, plus RADLEY, VERRILLS, SMITH, and SITILI for numerous games was always going to take us out of contention against Penrith and Melbourne. Expecting kids like Walker, Suaali, Baker etc to step up every week is too much to ask. Expecting fringe players like Lam and Iku to perform like seasoned first graders is not on either.

Just have to face facts, the injuries have stuffed us, and now we face the knock on effect, where players lose confidence, and that makes things worse. We still haven't gotten over losing CRONK and AUBS. We started the season without a proven 5/8th, that was a failure of the CLUB, which has come back to bite us.

We’ve had a great run but now it is realistic to question whether we will make the 8. Games against the top 4 in coming weeks are almost certain write offs so that leaves us how many wins needed to make the 8? Manly could overtake us this week and then there is only dragons and sharks behind us but with losses against the top teams a top 8 finish is not guaranteed unless we win a good few of our remaining matches.
