The ONLY explanation for such an anomaly - for such consistently lopsided penalty counts against us - is bias.
Never forget 2014 where the Bunnies received ONE HUNDRED MORE PENALTIES THAN US.
For anyone who understands stats, this clear bias is obvious.

2014 was a scam. And that 6 nil second half penalty count in their favour during the Prelim was the icing on the cake. And the ringing of that stupid bell in a supposedly neutral GF was the cherry on top of that.

Like I said yesterday, in any other industry, this would warrant further investigation. Like someone else said about duty of care, this is similar to a workplace accident that was not handled correctly. No player should ever take the field to play sport and then end up in a trauma ward afterwards due to the contrary conduct of an opposition player.
I guess we can call the game a workplace and everyones got their job. I mean Hutch suffered a real serious injury one that I cant remember in a game and caused by dirty play.
Image in (God Forbid) the injury was even worse ? No a 1 match sacking dont cut it. I dont want weazel wordds from the suits I demand action, If at my work I was careless and that cause another bloke to go to hospital.....imagine the penalty. This is a workplace the refs represent the NRL and they failed in their response. Allowing this kind of shit that was bloody obvious to everyone puts all players at serious risk.

Again... I think the issue is that nobody can replace him. They don't have a list of reserve-grade refs who they can promote. Also (from a practical perspective), they probably can't terminate his contract just because he stuffed up one game. People make mistakes and move on in all professions.
Not siding with him but I didn't see the incident live (was putting my kid to bed so only saw the second half). Injury aside, all I saw was:
- An idiot committing to the tackle, missing and then falling over Hutcho. I get why they mighta been hesitant to call a penalty, but IMO it was 100% an 'on report' kinda thing.
- Teddy copping a coat-hanger while passing the ball (late and malicious... so me that's a sens-off, I'm sick of seeing Teddy getting that treatment and people getting away with it!!! It's a disgrace given his profile in the game).
- Incompetence from the refs/bunker because 'ON REPORT' means just that... 'can you please check this one for us?!?' They shoulda made the
A broader issue I see is that our attack is top notch and tricks everybody. Thus, clobbering us late/high is okay because 'whoops I missed the tackle, that was an accident!!!' Whereas the Eels et al are more... 6 again... 6 again... 6 again... 6 again... FINALLY some bozo crashes over for a 100% gratuitous, slow, lumbering try. Oh and if our forwards tackles the guy and he flops down in a way that his chin taps SST/JWH/Radley's forearm (or they simply get hurt by a big hit) then STAIGHT AWAY... 'PEEEEP... PENALTY... ON REPORT!!! IN THE BIN FOR 10 AS WELL!!!' IMO there's a double standard that comes about because they get dominated more easily (so flop down & get hurt in tackles) and we do more high-speed tricks, so dog shots are 'okay'. IMO it should be the opposite... show some respect when you're up against guys like Teddy or you WILL be in trouble. No dog shots please as his salary's worth 10 of you...
But he uses that technique as his style of play mainly to break tackles, back out of them and keep the play alive etc.
All players have their own physicality and stature when they either run the ball or even defend. Regardless it's illegal to make contact with the head!

Speculating with Suaalii allowed on against 12 or possibly 11 men at only 18-10 down....Easts probably win the game."The price of freedom is eternal vigilance."

The big point ignored in all this is it was blantant cheating by the video ref and the ref .it was ignorance and biased on the highest level ..2 blokes should of been sinbinned and one sent off..our advantage became a disadvantage.
Also im truly sick and tired of seeing Tedeso copping all types of shots to the head week in week out for past year..He is going to end up on the scap heap soon. Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the universe
