You can all crap on till the cows come home...

No point talking bout money because Politis has got it covered, it's not your friggin money that's being spent its his!!! Bunch of holier than thou pretender bean counters...

I have witnessed the negotiations & briefly spoken to dollar bill over the past 3 & half years I this is what I see...

the vibe is positive & looks to be successfull
choc has reccomended the roosters (rather than souffs)
Sonny loves the east & bondi beach, he wants to settle here, have family, great for kids (my conversation with him xmas time)
the only remaining hurdle is incorporating Cooper in the deal as they WANT to play together, it's their dream

I dont care if youse dont believe me, I'm comfortable with what I see & hear

Get used to it chicken littles because they are but one step from realising ALL OF THE ABOVE

Also to stir you up further, Sonny will be the Captain....mark my word

I''d be happy, actually, extremely excited, if we signed both Sonny and Quade.

This obsession with youth and potential is ridiculous. Yes, some of our youngsters will be stars, and well worth keeping, but most of them wont. And most of them, if any of them, have the skill set and ability of Sonny and Quade.

I think people forget how good Sonny Bill was at Rugby League and I reckon Quade would be a freak at fullback.

Don't get me wrong, I'm excited about the potential of some of our young players, but that's all it is, potential. It's not a given that they're all going to be great.

I'm definitely pro Sonny and Quade

I don't understand your criticism of potential and then talk about Quade at Fullback. Can you tell me why you believe he is more than a 'potential' success in League at fullback?

How does he go under the high ball? How is his defense like in the last line? How is his dummy half running? How is he at cleaning up grubbers near the goal line? What is he like when running the ball back on a kick return? Can he catch Pearce's inside balls and Anasta's crap face or feet balls?

Dugan just got done being a d1ckhead in his car... has a DUI history... injury prone...
Talented sure, but I'm not 100% convinced he is the solution. That and the Dogs/Dragons are the ones rumoured to be in major talks.

Oh... and he's staying with the Raiders that's Canberra's worst kept secret, but I know lotsa people who know him, and that's what they all say. He's a Canberra local and loves it... the girls at work see him down at Mooseheads all the time (I don't because I can't stand the place.) He loves being a local hero who earns more than the big guns in the Public Circus. No brainer for the bloke...

Jism the fact that you are in Canberra speaks volumes about you and your mental deficiencies.

Wouldnt be suprised if there was some truth to this story politis has always liked cooper as a footballer and he has the cash and third party connections to make it happen ,as to union players comming accross to league there has been a lot of success stories as well as the failures johny brass the great easts center from the 70s was a goodun Alan cardy who came accross with brass didnt go as well but did ok,dick thornet was another success story.some make it some dont i do think cooper is a very good player but is he worth $700K to start? Not for mine.

How does he go under the high ball? Elite. How is his defense like in the last line? Currently defends from fullback. How is his dummy half running? Untested but with his speed and agility I think he would have no problem. How is he at cleaning up grubbers near the goal line? Untested but has good hands. What is he like when running the ball back on a kick return? Elite. Can he catch Pearce's inside balls and Anasta's crap face or feet balls? Yes to Pearce. Anasta irrelevant.
If he drops his asking price sign him up.

If we were going after union players, we should have chased Beale or O'Connor.

                      I would argue O'Connor.

                          Absolutely, Beale would kill it.

Beale has been an absolute revelation since he put the bong away, easily one of the best players in world rugby & would easily be a star in league.

Rugby would not let him go.....he did make Quade look good

Beale looks like a league player. O'Connor has a massive ticker and is a big game player. I don't think you could go wrong with either of them.

A get your point on Quade. You're right, it isn't a guarantee that he would be good at League.

But in opinion, he would be awesome.
