This is bullshi*t that redrooster has probably just made up. No way would we be able to afford both Cooper and SBW on that amount of money unless we offloaded about 6 players and another thing I am sure Dugan has 100% signed with the Raiders for 2013,Dugan isn;t going anywhere for the time being and same goes for Cooper I can't see hi leaving Rugby.

Thats because he is. Penrith junior.

It's only because he was given a scholarship at St Josephs (joeys) at Hunters Hill that he played Yawnyan. If you are given a schlorship at joeys or Riverview the rugby scouts are their at the games plus the schools themselves find a pathway in Rugby for them.

So has anyone heard any updates on proceedings in regards to negotiations with Quad and Dugan? Are we definitely after one of those two?
The year 2013 marks the beginning of the Roosters next 'decade of excellence', and it will prove to be more successful than the last!

        Here's looking at you, kid.

I reckon the short answer to your question is no....

Dugan was the street corner tip 12 months ago and I can still remember Jimmy Smith saying that he had very good info that it was a done deal. I know for a fact this was never the case. Dugan will re-sign with the Raiders or go to the Dogs or Drag Queens.

Cooper? Why would we be interested in him now when we have just signed Maloney for 2013? And don't tell me we would sign him as a fullback, only Souths or Cronulla would be stupid enough to sign an untried, untested rughby player then play him out of position.

After signing Maloney they would only consider signing Quad as a fullback. Quad is a very talented player but as you say he is too much of a risk coming from a different sport, at fullback and with his asking price. With Quad having a knee reconstruction that is a huge concern for me! I would rather go with Dugan between the two, then again if given the choice i would go after Kevin Locke if we could get him for next year. I would imagine Locke would be cheaper than Dugan and just as good if not arguably better, and would most likely play more games each year with Dugan seeming to miss a fair few games with injuries.

I don't want Cooper or Dugan either, basically for the reasons you stated above. I'm happy to see how our young guys go and failing that, the Warriors can't keep Locke, Fisiiahi and Slaimankhel. One of them will want to leave and I would be happy to take a punt on one of those at a lot less cash then Cooper or Dugan would want.

quade3 cooper will look great in rwb anjd be a success at fullback, apart from his kicking he does have a good turn of speed and will be ver4ry dangerous runni9ng of our dominant foward pack, sorry mini itrs just about time? europe beckons!

If his leg injury hasn't crueled his speed, he would be a good addition but not for 700,000

Possibility of him being Junee like.

There is no way I want to see Cooper at the Roosters. In the rugby World Cup he was outplayed by others in the same position, even the All Black No 4 choice was better.
If I was looking to buy a fullback, I'd go for Locke (someone already suggested that) he had a great season last year. I'd leave Duggan alone ... too many injuries and maybe headlines in the paper.
                      Pauline Robinson from the "Wall".

Bahahahaha. NO. We Boks all think Quade is a joke and massively overrated. He had a great World Cup.

It is funny how none of you thought that before the World Cup, when he was tearing your salary-capless Super rugby sides to pieces.

None ? There were plenty and that was against the likes of the Cheetahs. Even the All Blacks 4th choice Fly Half was better then Quade.
