It's like 'what if he's reading this' or 'some of his fans are getting offended, on his behalf'. it's a discussion like every other and if there wasn't this much angst shown by those that disagree with members that aren't quite happy with Lams form, this thread would have been forgotten by now.

One thing that I have constantly read from members that are supporting Lam is that he's a young kid and we should give him a chance. Personally I believe he has had many chances in the past 2 years and IMO, he hasn't shown what he might have shown in the lower grades. Even the club hasn't shown much faith in him by bringing Kyle Flanagan last year and giving him the role of half back, undisputed. This year and before the season started, Trent said 'We'll give Lachie first crack..." over Sam Walker. To me that wasn't endorsing Lachie much unlike how Flanagan got the position last year.
And finally as far as Lam being a kid, for sure! For someone like myself, and maybe you, he is a young kid but Lachie is 23 and 2 years older than David Fifita, 1 year older than AJ Brimson, officially older than Flanagan, Reed Mahoney and....Latrell by a few months. We don't consider these kids. These are young players who have taken their footy to a higher level and we need Lachie to take his game to that level because at the end of the day, and as the media says it, We are an Elite club and we get the best.
agreed, just nothing i have seen from lam has screamed star or even above average first grade half. i really don't want to knock the kid, but i haven't even seen that one game from him, where i walked away thinking wow, if he could replicate that every game , we are onto something.

i have said it before , as have others i think he is totally suited to utility bench role to cover hooker, halves, maybe lock , centre at a pinch and probably do it very well.

i am not privy to what robbo has asked him to do, and not going to pretend i am . robbo might be thrilled with his progress and intend to pick him as soon as he is fit again.

i don't want to come off overly critical , or a statler and waldorf as some would say. it is purley an observation and i hope to be proven wrong, after all wouldn't that be a great story , son of roosters legend stars in roosters premiership triumph ?

    just my 2 cents.

I remember watching Adrian Lam in one of his games in the early 90’s ( possibly debut ) where he scored a brilliant individual try against Wests under the posts in the Panasonic Cup and I became a massive fan ever since..

Even through the years as fellow supporters on the Wall complained about A Lam’s tendency to go missing in big games he was still one of my favourite players as he was blessed with ball in hand..

Unfortunately I don’t get the same feeling for Lachlan, not even close..I’m sorry if that upsets his fans

Adrian is in my top 5 favourite Roosters.

If only halfbacks today had 50% of his skill. His son would be lucky to have 10%.

He’s lucky enough he got his Father’s name. How else would he be playing NRL.

I wonder if the wall can still be accessed somehow as i seem to recall you being a critic of A Lam "tendency to go missing in big games" twigged my memory as being an observation you made - the old i like A Lam but.........................................

The Panasonic cup comp finished in 1989 - A Lam debuted in 1994 Round 9 - Chooks used a few halves early Brian Smith / Mark Barnes for instance - a rather very poor season with Mark "Muppet" Murray as coach one has to say -Gould came in for the last game and cleaned out the roster - only a few survived- Ricko/Salvo/Silva/Garlick to name a few.

I remember Gould brought Tyres Mackay (Graham Mackay) with him from Penrith and Matt Sing - there's a reason Mackay is called Tyres

You remember what a particular member's opinion of Adrian Lam was 21+ years ago?

                That's, ummm, really sad.

Coning from a bullshit artist like you who accused fellow supporters of rejoicing when Lam was injured last week, which mind you was a total fabrication on your part is very rich..

Go and crawl under the hole you came out of, you’re embarrassing yourself!
