The guy can't help himself. After Lachie got injured on Friday, as usual people comment on what happened. This guy said 'People are rejoicing Lam got hurt!' No one was rejoicing.. The only rejoicing was in his mind. It wouldn't surprise me if he's hoping that Walker fails just so he can say 'I told you so!'

I also noticed his comments the other night but didn’t bother responding as he had no facts to back up his claims, because no one was rejoicing!

In regards to Walker, the kid is that good that this fool won’t have a chance to open his mouth..

Definitely wasn’t death riding him. I’ve been a supporter of his from way back and think he should be given a decent run to show his talents.

I disagree with your last sentence ROC, whatever you think about the King he supports all of our guys. Like most of us.

But when criticism appears unfair or one sided, some fans get pissed off. And push back a bit...and that should be ok. Just supporting our players....thats our job after all!

In my view, it was always going to be hard for Lam to shine when you take into consideration the fact that Keary was playing both sides of the ruck and controlling most of the play. He was always going to have more touches than Lam meaning Lam was left to play a supporting role. If he had run more, no doubt people would be complaining that he didn't get the ball to JMoz or Teddy enough

keary's out and all bets are off. walker will get his opportunity and it won't be at the expense of lam.
lam will recover from his injury and will be in the mix to be the 5/8. hard to see anyone else having greater claims to the spot at this stage.
i haven't had a problem with how he's gone so far. hutch will do the job but lam's a better option than him, keighran is in the wings and might fill in if lam doesn't have the chops. manu's a left field option which could be spectacular but is long shot.

There is nothing unbalanced about people criticising Lam. We ALL wanted him to succeed for many reasons, but many fans are disappointed because we are not seeing it but only on a professional level because no one hates him and I don't think anyone has been cruel or unfair but it might seem to you it's like that because according to you he is one of your favourite player. Does that mean that when Sitili or Butcher or Collins is criticised, they don't matter to you because I have never seen you voicing your disagreement about peoples opinion at this level?


There wouldn't be such a lengthy thread if KS would just write about why he disagrees with peoples comments including facts, instead of making immature comments every bloody day about muppets and directing them to posters. It makes you wonder why anyone would feel the need to do that.


So my question is, Why can't people say that they're not happy with Lams play or role in the team? What makes him so special? Was it that he was a local junior and they're a rare lot? Or is that he is the son of a Roosters legend? Then again that didn't help Jacko Hastings. Why are people getting worked up if anyone criticises Lachie to which in my opinion, it's been very tame when compared to others??

Actually Jack, this is somewhat about PC more than about Lam for me because I don't understand why people can't comment about Lams form. It's like 'what if he's reading this' or 'some of his fans are getting offended, on his behalf'. it's a discussion like every other and if there wasn't this much angst shown by those that disagree with members that aren't quite happy with Lams form, this thread would have been forgotten by now.

One thing that I have constantly read from members that are supporting Lam is that he's a young kid and we should give him a chance. Personally I believe he has had many chances in the past 2 years and IMO, he hasn't shown what he might have shown in the lower grades. Even the club hasn't shown much faith in him by bringing Kyle Flanagan last year and giving him the role of half back, undisputed. This year and before the season started, Trent said 'We'll give Lachie first crack..." over Sam Walker. To me that wasn't endorsing Lachie much unlike how Flanagan got the position last year.
And finally as far as Lam being a kid, for sure! For someone like myself, and maybe you, he is a young kid but Lachie is 23 and 2 years older than David Fifita, 1 year older than AJ Brimson, officially older than Flanagan, Reed Mahoney and....Latrell by a few months. We don't consider these kids. These are young players who have taken their footy to a higher level and we need Lachie to take his game to that level because at the end of the day, and as the media says it, We are an Elite club and we get the best.

At the end of the day, Robbo will decide who plays and who doesnt.
