Raiders half ran 26 metres most of those in the try he scored- Keary ran 33 metres and had a quiet night in attack and his kicking game was not the best like last week - Toops is a weapon with the high kick and after last week when Keary's kicks were too short this needed to be better - maybe the head knock affected his game ?.

With Flanno it's his first full NRL season so he will learn from the season and if there is no bubble next season Cronk can have a more hands on role with the halves- Cronk was not a big runner of the ball himself as a half it has to be said.

The kicking game needs to improve both in general play (field position) and attacking wise (bombs/grubbers/repeat sets) - both Flanno and Keary aren't big kickers but could be trained to get more distance depending on the kick they use

Cronk by a long way as we replaced him with an inexperienced half back Whom I thought was very ordinary tonight Dont think he took the line on himself once threw the ball to nobody on numerous occasions. Now Im not a footy stats man but I commented to my Neice after game has he made a line break this year where he has taken the line on by himself. I suspect not. She could not find that stat but did find in 19 games this season his running metres average was 35 metres a game Is this poor average or good As I said not a stats man footy wise but to me that seems very ordinary. Ive had a look at 4 halfbacks stats on this Cleary 88 metres running per game Foggarty from GC 90 metres run average per game and Reynolds from Souths a notorious non runner of the ball but average 53 running metres per game A bit more digging I think I would find he is the lowest average running metres of any half back

Yes, the question is - is THAT Flanno, or is he coacherd to play that way and let Keary run amok.

That is what needs to be asked before condemning Flanno.

He may be playing to instruction....... or maybe he just simply doesn't cut it as a ball runner.

Playing to instructions ? I would think he wouldnt have been dropped midway during the season if he was playing to instructions

              Flanno is a kid.

              Keary was poor.

              Teddy was poor.

The mix of young and old in the team was imbalanced.

                Cronk by a mile.

Latrell was great for us at times, but he also never had it in him to lift a struggling team and carry them to victory. His forte was building off a platform set by others to really drive the knife in. Its why his loss has not been that hard felt by Souths. They never relied on him to set the tone for their games.

Cronk on the other hand is a genuine leader and steers any team he plays in. Our defence on his edge was an utter brick wall in 18-19, only to suddenly become fragile as **** this season. Guys like Manu who looked like defensive geniuses the last 2 seasons became turnstyles without him there to lead

Out of those two, Cronk for sure but the loss of Radley was massive as well. Rads links up the middle to the edge and he’s a mongrel when defending, absolutely love the guy and his passion, we’ve missed him. Bring on next year when he’ll be back.

                    Flanagan for Cronk....er no.
While Flanno has done his best and on occasions been quite solid, I was never impressed with his signing from day one. Thought we should have done a lot better but what other options did we really have? Unfortunately In this experiment, he has been the winner, not us.

I was surprised when we signed him too. Not one of our more astute grabs. Would have preferred Lam this year and bring on Walker in 2021.

For me Flanagan doesn't say Rooster. His attitude when dropped was only about him being shocked , nothing to do with needing to improve or the club being the main focus. I never got the feeling he was loved amongst the other guys either.

Their was a time last night near the end of the game where Teddy and Keary were frantically trying to make something happen from first and second receiver and were continually being targeted, Flanno was nowhere to be found..

As I’ve said previously he was a strange signing but given Robbo dropped him once already this year, hopefully the writing is on the wall!

one of the reasons we didn't miss latrell so much this year was cos flanno's goal kicking was better than latrell's. jmoz was a good replacement in the centres.

cronk's an all time great so thinking we could replace him with a like for like at $200k is unrealistic.

i don't think flanno was bad and he wasn't the reason we lost our last 3 matches. but sure, there's competition for a place between him and lachie with walker a longer term option.

Latrell was our X factor and a superstar, things didn’t pan out for him in the end at the roosters, but to say he was replaced by a better player, is pure lunacy and denial.

If you want to break it down like that then obviously the answer would be no J moz isn’t as good as LM but it’s not like our left edge turned to crap.. We were still pretty lethal on that side and scored a heap of points so that loss was managed without any disruption to our success IMO.

How have you got such a feeling To my knowledge you are not part of the clubs bubble Which would mean you are making assumptions from watching on tv or from 100 metres away at the SCG I agree with the rest
