I didn’t watch the whole game as I was out but saw the highlights
waylander from what I can tell I agree with everything you’ve said but we come up against a better team than Souths this week.
Vasco, if you read my posts throughout the year I’ve had a gut feeling we wouldn’t win. I backed us last year and was confident. So as much as I can be a pessimist when it comes to the chooks I think I’m a realist.
im pretty confident we don’t win this game for many reasons.
a) Penrith are a great team for many reasons..the right balance between chaos and order. Young players who love to play together and have junior rep experience together. The same thing happened when they won the comp last time. Remember that young bunch of players in 2003. It’s a very similar mix.
b) I feel like we have overachieved this year.
besides losing Victor and Sam, we have Boyd with head knocks, Friendy my main man looking older, Flanagan has to cope with his old mans teeth and that seems to be screwing up his defence.
Everyone seems to be rapping us up and how good our coach isand how unfair our squad is...blah blah but normally in my experience this leads to complacency unfortunately.......you can’t coach hunger.
canberra almost got us last year, we are missing 4 key players from that squad and other teams are better.
its a huge ask for us to win,
as I said it’s a wonderful challenge for players and coach.
hope I’m wrong
