I sat through a replay of the souffs game (it was torture) but a few things come to light, from a very poor performance.
Our forwards did not get outmuscled, in fact souffs made very few (if any ) line breaks through the middle.
Alex Johnson scored 5 tries on our right edge. He will never, in his lifetime, be afforded the same latitude again, by Joey and BMoz.
Our left edge was not great in D either, but a few souffs tries came from kicks, which are lucky dips anyway.
I'd expect Toups and JMoz ( both great defenders, usually) to take stock of that situation.
I think the whole team played without the usual intensity, there was nothing to play for, and we had 4th on the table locked up.
When we did get the ball, we pushed the pass, and tried to play catch up, handing over more ball to souffs.
The team will play a much more physical game come finals time, which is , as Fitzy and Robbo say "the Roosters style"
So you can listen to the media, listen to Gus Gould's comments on channel nine, and slash your wrists over the result.
Or you put a bad loss in perspective, and know we will come out breathing fire against the Riff.
The team would not have busted their ass to get where they are, this season, for it to come to nothing.
There is a genuine belief from the players and the coach that they can win the title again - look at the performances from the team , over the year

Nah they can’t win the game against Penrith because Cummins is the ref & the penalty count is going to be 12 2 against the Roosters, Penrith are going to get 9 6 agains 4 of them on the 4th tackle & 2 on the 5th tackle whilst in the Roosters red zone. I know this for a fact because I read it on the Chookpen. Plus the bus ride is going to take 2 hour longer because referee Klein is going to be monitoring the M4 at Concord & as soon as he sees the East bus he is going to ring referee Sutton who is going to be on the M4 at Granville & he will throw some engine oil on the road as the Roosters bus is approaching so the bus has to stop until the oil has been cleaned up causing the Roosters to arrive at Penrith 10 minutes before kickoff meaning they don’t get to warm up plus they miss out on attending the toss of the coin.

I too noticed a lack of intensity compared to previous games. For example when a line break was made or kick put through against us, our players were jogging back rather than sprinting in desperation to get to the ball or opposition player.
SBW’s effort to ground the ball in the in goal summed it all up.
We have the talent, team, coach, experience and mentality to go all the way, and it all starts this Fri.
Strap yourselves in boys and girls as we are about to prove to the rest of the comp that we play for Premierships! 3-peat here we come!!

1996, Anzac Day - Roosters 62 defeated Rabbitohs 0
Winger Peter Jorgensen collected a hat-trick of tries and Ivan Cleary finished with a personal tally of 22 points in the Roosters' 62-0 rout of their cross-town rivals. The thrashing was the heaviest in Souths' proud history before being eclipsed by a 66-0 loss to the Warriors in 2006.

I’m wondering if they really want to continue or are just waiting to go on holidays. They’ve done it all but the last match they seemed just not interested at all or even proud of the jersey anymore. A team of champions just doesn’t fall in a heap unless they just don’t care anymore or maybe serious team disharmony like what SBW has been reported to be getting for almost no play time. It might be causing resentment I don’t know. But this team is not the roosters anymore going by the thrashing. It might come out after the season is over.“Soon will the present day order be rolled up, and a new one spread out in its stead”- (Baha’u’llah)
