Why is everyone so negative?

There must be a reason for last night otherwise it would have happened much more often yet it hasn’t. They just allowed too many offloads and fell off tackles. Tyat was the problem all might - the defense. They weren’t putting the man down. Someone mentioned team disharmony. It certainly wasn’t the Roosters playing last night. The only other reason I can think of is that this resting policy is interfering with and destroying combinations so players are always out of position and not combining well in attack or defense. They played like strangers last night.

The first line of your post is a brilliant observation.

Add to that the stacked restarts against us building up fatigue over time.

However, between a shortened season, lots of rested players I don't think we face any more fatigue adversity than we did last year and they were still handing enough possession to the opposition this time last year as well.

Robbo must know we are in for a month of this, imo I don't think they are going to put the whistle away in the finals, I wish they would cause it just makes for better footy all round.

Where does all the negativity come from?
Roosters fans everywhere SHOULD be upset, angry and embarrassed after last night. More so, because it came against that f*@kn joke of a club vermin outfit. I personally am shocked, because I didn't expect such a poor defensive showing from a team that I have high hopes for.
But that doesn't mean that I'm not a passionate fan. I've bled RWB from the day I was born. I have lost friends over this club. We all have our reasons for supporting this club. Many on here are just using this forum as a means to vent their frustration. And that's good because it means that they CARE.
And one of the many great things about being a fan of this this team is knowing that the players care too. No doubt they are all burning about last night and will know that they have no option but to right that wrong next week.
As Robbo said a good team doesn't become a bad team over night. Suffering a record breaking loss is bad, but this team has broken records to become the champions that they are. Coming back after a 52 point loss to win this year's comp will be just another record to break.
Today is a new day, the real season starts next week. And the footy gods help whoever we come up against because there's no way anyone can stop us. The season won't be over until Easts lift that third straight premiership on GF night.

Maybe the only thing up there with bagging the team is some supporters bagging, judging, insulting fellow supporters. We all have an opinion. We all LOVE Easts.

The result was very out of the blue and none of us expected the result being what it is. No matter though, we move forward. The finals is what matters the most! Once we beat the Riff, the confidence will flow throughout and only bitter souffs fans will cry 60-8 while we celebrate a threepeat!

The last two weeks clearly show me we will not be allowed to win The 6 again rule is being used by officials to screw us over Last nights performance I put down to the fatigue from last week being forced to tackle all second half I believe the last two games the 6 agains are 17-4 against us We got one all night last night almost scored and didn’t get another after that

I except that the Roosters wont win the comp every year & Im glad they dont because if they did the NRL would fold because people would no longer watch it so there would be no more Roosters.

There you go systematic See the difference in the last two weeks with the 6 agains Starting since we beat two top 8 sides in Canberra and Newcastle We have been targeted and I dont see it stopping in the finals

Nice work Mr Bond, I'm pretty sure Robbo and co. are aware that we have to overcome this crap. Apart from friends usual arm waving, I have noticed the past month a few other players are fed up with the inconsistency on the field.

By Robbo saying that a team doesn’t go bad overnight says a lot. The game on Friday was taken for granted by either Robbo or the whole team. A reset will be made on Friday.

After the regular season, that's a negative 38 to our penalty(including restarts as pens)differential. Trending down as usual.

One stat is like to see is the ruck speed avgs of the match compared to the opposition.

Pretty much every team at some stage gives away infringements to set their defensive line. As a fan of our club the we do look thru rooster coloured glasses, but say all of them against us are actually legit, the same does not get applied to our opposition.

They are inconsistently cleaner when they face us compared to their games either side of playing us.
