I would ignore the scoreline. Clearly Flanagan/Maubs/Ikuvalu aren't going to be defending together during the finals. I thought our forwards were dominant when they had some ball. SST playing limited mins tells me Robbo solely focused on next week. Bring it on.

Our best hope is that there's a lot of muscle memory within this group; as in they've been so great for so long that it's possible that they can just dust themselves off and regroup.

Also a champion team has a lot of pride so they'll all be really hurting and desperate to make amends.

As Robbo says, the path to glory is never the same. We've been thrown a curveball but hey, maybe it's what we needed.

This shock could have come in a Prelim. Maybe we'll say in hindsight that this was the kick up the ass that had to happen.

no doubt it was painful but you dont just throw in the towel for the season cos of a bad loss.. its a new game next week and the only way this loss effects us is if we let it get to our head (just like some of the soft fks on here are doing)

Obviously the players minds were elsewhere and maybe thought Knights would win so it was going to be confortable win as Souths would be saving themselves for an away final- not so it was extremely embarrassing and inept effort and should not be tolerated by the coaches or players- they have one week to turn it around
