Yep....unfortunately our Goose is cooked. Time for some perceptive, even the bronco's the worse team this decade didn't get 60 put on them. Premierships are won on defence, ours is plasticine compared to previous years.

I hate to say it but I think we’ve been too arrogant and this is the result.

My wife told me that it was mufty day at one of the local primary schools on Friday, and a lot of the kids were wearing their Roosters jerseys at school.
It must have been a big disappointment to them (as it was to me) to have their heroes and idols fall off the perch.
To be a champion side you need to be ruthless (think Roosters 2018 and 2019) and have the hunger and desire to win.
I think tonight's performance showed this is gone from the current Roosters - and they will carry mental scars into the finals.
Champion sides do get beaten (sure) but they don't get massacred - there's too much pride involved.
Lets face it , we got beaten badly tonight by a mediocre team. For the finals we face a better team in the Riff, and possibly an even better one , at some stage , in the Storm.
So I don't like our chances.

You would imagine there's going to be some effect on the players
The team has looked tired at times and Robbo has tried to rest players as best he could.
If he can lift them from this then he will become a legend of the game.

We'll need a miracle, but anything can happen in footy.
Even if we don't win another game, we won b2b premierships and finished in the top 4 in this turbulent year.
Back to back premierships, mind you.

just woken up - the sun's shining and the sky hasn't fallen on our heads.
this comp was always going to be hard to win. didn't get harder cos of a loss in a meaningless game.
no pride in the jersey? take a look at last few years.
fans might think a loss to souths counts for more and that's fine but i'm glad they didn't bust a gut to get back into it. there are times to put your body on the line and last night wasn't one of those times.

We will win next week then get a week off.
I believe we canl still win it. A week is a long time in rugby league and sometimes its just not your night. The momentum usually swings in a game but last night it was 1 step forward and 2 steps back against a hungry team. They where guilty of looking ahead a week too early i feel and next week cant come quick enough .

We are still the best team. As Robbo alluded to, you don't forget how to play football.
Last night we didn't show up mentally. It's as simple as that. Together with a dose of complacency it was the recipe for disaster and disaster struck.
Don't worry we won't have this attitude in a big semi final.

Their is no way this gun side with talent stacked all over the park won’t bounce back next week with a bang!
We will regroup and the fire in the belly will reappear this week, watch out Storm or Penrith.
Great sides don’t generally lose 2 games in a row, throw in a smashing to our arch rivals and a semi final coming up and I’m confident we will take care of business!
