Different styles of play. In his best season to date which was 2017 he was allowed to run across field, offload at will and was way more expensive whereas under Robinson the style that Angus is playing is more direct and secure.

I know this is going to ruffle some feathers but he’s a completely different player when he’s in the middle and allowed to roam compared to when he’s on a edge and restricted to running lines which isn’t his strength you could see the timing and understanding with Keary was well off. In the middle he was dynamic and potent on every carry, on the edge he was getting belted.

I think Gus played great in the middle & on the edge. By moving him to the edge it allowed SBW to come on & play that Victor Radley role.

Respect your opinion Rooster 6 your a good judge but personally I like us with a ball playing lock in the Radley and SBW mould. To me it frees up our halves and gives our backs more space. No questioning Angus's ball running though with his right arm ball carry he's better suited running on the right side of the field.

I agree when Radley is fit he's the starting lock no doubt in the world. Having Radley/SBW in the middle opens up the field so much more for us.

I just think without Radley a combo of Crichton/SBW gives us the great mobility and creativity in the middle. I wouldn't be shifting Crichton back to and edge although Tupouniua is making it really hard as he was almost non existent in attack again this week.

I wonder if Tupouinua is playing with a slight niggle or something, he just seems off the pace, almost like he’s carrying a kind of injury.

Angus has commentated that he prefers to play on the edge. He is obviously effective there but he offers more to the team in the middle. I can’t see him playing anywhere else seeing Radley is out. Anyway it’s great he has that versatility.

I thought he was best on ground last night. Slightly ahead of Teddy then Toops.

Agree 13, Angus was immense last night, I still can't believe how easy he's slotted back in and how fit he is after all that time, You'd never know he was out for that long

I am not one who pays too much attention to stats but Angus' post contact metres must be impressive. He just seems to keep going every time they tackle him.
Last year he was our best forward the last couple of months and he seems to be taking that mantle again at the back end of this year.
He must be the next on the list to nail down for a few more years.
