I thought it was a particularly stupid article from the DT. Angus has been great for us and there is no reason to think he is on the outs for any reason. Plus he still has a year a half to go on his contract. A really desperate attempt at an article.

Coincidentally, I was just watching a highlights vid on YouTube while I ate my lunch and found this ....Originally posted by ChookMaster View Post
because isaac is not a SR. He is a prop/ lock forward. He lacks the hands or speed to be a good second rower.

Watch from 1:10 and let me now if it alters your view.

Issac is a player we can always depend to deliver what Trent wants. I remember that in the game where Radley and Verrills got their ACL, Iceman injured his ribs BUT he played on for another 25 mins with that until taken off. Iceman will always be in Trents team. You gotta Love the Iceman!

Really good return tonight. You forget how good he can be, it’s going to be tough to pick the bench when Maubs comes back.

Actually starting to worry about who gets left out for SBW . As good as he is you must feel for the player that misses out if we get to the g/f . Who would it be , surely not poor Lindsay , happened twice now I think . Cant be Aubo , club legend shouldn't go out like that. Gus will be back to his best so for me if anyone is to miss out we should just go with Jake and not carry a spare hooker . Either that or no SBW and I don't think that happens.Originally posted by The Marshall View Post
I am not dreaming, in my opinion our culture of loyalty doesn’t include dumping a developing player who has busted his arse all year and done well for a bloke who is gassed in 13 minutes and is well off the pace. Different opinions make life interesting.
I hope SBW finds the pace and fitness but right now he isn’t in our best 17 especially if we play a 2nd hooker or Aubo off the bench.
One thing Uncle Nick and Robbo do know is to make decisions for the good of the team so I am sure they will get it right.
All that matters is we win.

I totally agree and I dont think it would sit well with SBW if he thought he was not the best option for the team.Originally posted by The Marshall View Post

I dont see him being ready for finals in 3 games but I hope he proves me wrong.
on or off the field he will boost the roosters

Right you are! Watching Angus on Saturday he would have to be a priority signing. He is a star and despite his missing digit is too handsome to be anything other than a Rooster.Originally posted by milanja View Post

Just finished watching a replay of the game and Angus Crichton was phenomenal..
In defence he was tackling everything that moved and with the ball he looked to make impact with his carries with a few handy offloads also..
No way we lose this guy!

He is our next captain. Spent 6 months getting the stench of Souffs off him, so we won't be losing him now.Originally posted by Lydon View PostJust finished watching a replay of the game and Angus Crichton was phenomenal..

Cords would be lucky to play 15 games a year so I think the Roosters could balance Cords, Gus & Sitilli quite well. What’s the story with Sitilli & Cords contract?Originally posted by Johnny Tobin View PostI hope he stays. He's a real rooster now. The problem is that it becomes between Angus and Sitili because I don't think Angus can play middle long term. Unless Cords sensationally retires three into two doesn't go.
Are they under contact & for how long?

I reckon Cordner has two seasons maximum. He will miss enough games for Sitili and Crighton to start enough games.Originally posted by Johnny Tobin View PostI hope he stays. He's a real rooster now. It's not as if we have any decent back up edge forwards. All of the interchange forwards play in the middle (Butcher, Collins, Liu, Farmer Silly, Fifita etc...).

Just on Angus, I'm backing him to be our best forward from here on in.
That was as dominant a 30min stint of footy as you're likely to see from an interchange forward. For one, how good was the spiral pass to Toops? SBW would have been proud.
He looks hungry and primed for a massive finals series and will remind anyone who has forgotten that he has the potential to be the best backrower in the competition.

He was great at the back end of last year too.Originally posted by Tommy Smith View PostJust on Angus, I'm backing him to be our best forward from here on in.
