  • We will look back and know Mini was around for two or three seasons too long. We lost a chance to pick up Locke last year, so we're stuck him until this bullshit about a favourite son not getting the chop is finished.

What with Wayne's kid and Captain not Courageous, we've got some rotting wood in this club.

'Wayne's kid' had a poor season yet still placed in the top 5 for Try Assists and the top 5 for Linebreak Assists amongst all NRL halves. An undisputed key performance indicator for all halves.

Maybe I'm being a touch optimistic to think I might get a decent reply from you but how is that dead wood and who would you replace him with, either purchased or developed.

I aways try to give a polite reply and I'll gladly write what I think.

        7. Maloney
        6. Barba
        1. Either Gerard Beale or Jack Reed from the Broncos.

        This just my opinion.

Not to mention half the players in the 2011 NRL grand final.

Meh Success is overrated anyway, right?
Are you thick or do you only read bits of my posts.

The last time I looked Simon Mannerings, SKD, Nightingale, Nathien Fein, Liam Forum, Greg Eastwood, Lewis Brown, Sam McKendry, Kevin Proctor were caucasians. Then they have half casts like Marshall, Jeremy Smith, Isacc Luke.

Half the players in the GF, yer right.

          Read the post properly.

You do know that Jack Reed is a centre?

The anti-Pearce brigade is getting funny.

Ivan Cleary was a Centre who became a fullback, so Jack Read becoming one is not a huge leap. Then if not Jack Read (an International) then Jowral Yow Yeh or Dane Gagai (who as a winger, like Minichello was, could move to fullback.)

That's just Brisbane but I'm sure there are a swag of winger/fullbacks who are potential replacements.

Here's a few that are second stringers and young.

                In no order.

                Michael Oldfield (Manly)
                James Roberts (Souths)
                Nathan Massey (Raiders)
                David Mead (Titans)

All playing behind established fullbacks/wingers, all would be fairly cheap and all younger than 25.

                • Anyone that thinks Pearce is a problem at our club has no clue at all tbh.

                    • Pearce looked good at halfback with Carney, he's looked...ordinary is the word with anyone else they've put next to him.

But the few times I've seen him play 5/8th when he and Carney swapped roles he's shone.

The less said about Braith Anasta, the better.

John, please repeat after me "No more dumbarse Dogs. They are a curse to our great Club, none with ever prosper with us." And the bloke cannot tacke!!

And I'm not convinced Maloney would be as good a 7 as he would a 6. I'd have Jnr Jnr at 7 and leave Maloney at 6.

Actually, it's interesting to see that the Gormless Guppies have named the Drunkard Bogan at No. 7 for their trial against the Chip Stealers. The only thing that bloke could organise is a pissup down at Northies (not that hard given the deadshyts at the Guppies). Flannagan has no clue if he reckons he'll get the best of Carney at 7. He needs the freedom of 6 to be at his freakish best, if he still has it in him.

As for Locke, isn't he under contract for 2013 with the Warriors? If that's the case I can't see him getting a release which means he wouldn't be available until 2014, which is a fair time away.

                        • Anything is possible N.C., didn't we pick up Daniel Mortimer while he was still contracted?

                          I know it's a stretch but anything's possible.

Unlike Locke, Mortimer was a disgard

                            • How does a thread about a rumour concerning the signing Kevin Locke in 2013 turn into the standard Pearce/Anasta bashing thread?
Loved by few, hated by many, respected by all.

If given the chance, he may well fire. But if he sees he's stuck behind our wonderful, Freddy-esque Captain then he won't give a damn.
