  • Locke to Roosters story on radio

2gb radio station reports that the Roosters deny having already made an agreement with Locke to replace Mini from 2013.

No more bulldogs, now we start picking the, from the Warriors.

In any case I think it's a goon buy if we get him

Whats everyones thoughts on Locke ?

Apart from him being defensively handicapped, it's a great buy.

ROOSTERS officials have no concerns Anthony Minichiello will let himself go while enjoying this week on his honeymoon with Terry Biviano.

Despite NRL trials just around the corner, Mini was given the OK to unwind with his new bride.

Chooks chief executive Steve Noyce said Minichiello was "one of the most professional athletes I've ever come across" and would return to the training paddock next Monday.

Still on Mini, word was spreading Warriors hotshot Kevin Locke would cross the ditch to be Minichiello's eventual fullback replacement.

Not so, says Locke's manager Darryl Mather. Locke is happily tied up with the Warriors until 2013.

I was told a few weeks ago by 1 of the wallsters that he will be with us 2013.

Thoughts on him. Hopefully a good buy with Maloney. They play in the spine (I know it's cheesey) positions & have played together for a couple of years.

How do you know that? If that's true then I can't wait to see him play. What about his kick defense?

People on here pine for speed.

                    Locke is lightning.

                    We could do far worse.

From the tiny bit of footage I saw of Sheck in a rugby schoolboy match was that he would make an awesome touch player in the Benji/Johnson mode, stepped off both feet like a flash... NRL is a whole new kettle of fish though as everyone knows.. needs to bulk up etc

Here's the vid, he's in the first bit of footage: http://www.skysport.co.nz/video/rugb...college-43751/

Some players in conversation, I could tell you more but that could be embarassing for some players and was shared with me in confidence. Watch and see for yourself in 2012..

He may not be big but as a fullback he's not far from where he needs to be..rugby is far less structured than league and his ability will suit leagues set and broken plays.

RTS is an unbelievable talent according to my nephew who's played against him back home.

You need to be good as an FB in the area he comes from cos every Maori or Islander (thats all you face in that comp) wants to rip your head off.

He is also Captain of every team he's played in & displays great leadership qualities beyond his years. Was to be groomed as a top notch all black & Auckland still cant believe he's playing with us now.

To the point....Locke was approached by Roosters a few years ago before he got to first grade & wanted to sign before we got cold feet waiting for his assault charges to be settled. The Warriors subsequently panicked & signed him a few more years. Now he has more issues, appearing in court for driving while disqualified a second time I think....Frankly he's trouble

I doubt if the radio stuff has any legs, in oz talk it's a 'FURFIE'
